Contrarian opinion ...
Tre'Shaun athletically should be at UW ...
But then look at tonight's game and a guy like Kamari Pleasant going in and blocking his ass off ... anybody think he signed up for that when he decided to come to UW?
Point being that if Tre'Shaun comes to Washington and gets slotted where the staff sees as his best fit in both college and his future NFL career, then I'm on board. But from what I'm seeing at 30k feet he has the potential to be one of those guys that wants to be a WR because he wants to avoid the physical nature of RB and doesn't want to get his hands dirty playing D. That kind of attitude at UW will just get you passed by some other elite kid willing to do more. -
My sources tell me Peterson has a good Yankoff before bed each night.

Idk, even Sark POS shit Mathis bought in to some extent. I rather have the problem of him buying in. than not having at all. He would make our team better, just because other fuckers around him would need to competeTequilla said:Contrarian opinion ...

Also they have catered to guys wanting to play a position other than where the staff saw them before so I find it a bit doogish to have that thought. Just recruit him to the Chico position assuming he is the elite talent he seems to be and hope he comes. Everyone on defense is recruited as a buck. This is not a new or complicated dilemma.

Get fucking Tre'Shaun. BONEM

Tre'Shaun plays physical on defense. No doubt in my mind he would adjust to the physicality at RB and it doesn't hurt that Socha will bulk him up to 210+ pounds rather quickly if he puts the work in.
I don't care what position he plays for UW. Just get his fucking signature. -

Bullshit! Our duck friends on this bored have assured us that there is 0% chance of that happening and Taggart is nothing like Sarkdhdawg said:I can't wait until Oregon's amazing recruits jump ship.

Bi-Polar @Dennis_DeYoung is the best DDY!! Allegedly he was a YUGE duck fan growing up and doesn't give a fuck about Oregon, but still BONEM.Dennis_DeYoung said:Get fucking Tre'Shaun. BONEM
All kidding aside, I agree with this sentiment. I don't really care if Tre'Shaun is good or not; but no 4 Star Kid in WA should be going to fucking Oregon. It's the symbolism that matters here- i.e., if a snake comes in your backyard, you gotta cut its fucking head off. We can lower the OKG standards somewhat for in-state kids. -
I agree but if the kid is a big enough douche/clown to actually sign there, then I'll be ok with it. We gonna stomp on their nutz multiple times over his career. Also Taggart is horny AF for all his Flurrida guys so I'm not sure Tre will see the field for a few yearsYellowSnow said:

You mean those Florida kids who will definitely turn down SEC offers after the Ducks go 3-7 in conference and hold true to their early commitments to live in Eugene, Oregon for 4 years?rustysavage said:

Coker and DDY pood about it all the time: You want 4-star guys competing against other 4-star guys for PT. Let the cream rise to the top. If you have to reach in recruiting, reach for a high-ceiling guy. In pursuit of big goals, JAGs can't help you.
If Tre'Shaun plays WR, he'll compete for PT against Ty and Ozzie and Spiker. He he plays RB, he'll compete against Salvon and McGrew. (Pleasant is a JAG. He threw two blocks. Fuck off.) If he plays DB, he'll compete against Rapp and Elijah and hopefully Kyler Gordon. The guys who win those kinds of competitions will match up against Bammer or tOSU or anybody.
Locker room culture matters. But can anybody honestly say they've seen something to indicate Tre'Shaun would be detrimental to that? (See Victor, Azeem.) If Pete didn't believe in Tre'Shaun, he wouldn't have offered him. If he buys in, he'll earn PT and be a fucking monster. If not, he'll sit on the bench or get couched. -
Dude, he threw more than just two blocks. Watch the game, you need players like that are willing go out and play their asses off and get no glory. The reason ppl are dooging over him is that he is going to be clocking/blocking shitton next year for Salvon and speedy gonzales.TTJ said:

Agree on everything but Pleasant. But you've nailed the larger point with TreShaun.TTJ said:

To the point about Tre'Shaun buying in and proof ... he chose Oregon and the #WillieKnows hype machine over UW as a Seattle kid ...
When you combine how toxic those same Seattle area schools are in the world of AAU hoops and that's a lot of circumstantial evidence that there's a lot of "me first" behavior in those schools/programs ...
Choosing Oregon would suggest that there's some truth there ...
Evidence that he's willing to be OKG would be staying home ...
I'm right on this one until I'm not -
This is basically the point I was trying to make by saying perhaps we can lower the OKG standards a bit for 4 and 5 star in state kids- i.e., if they decide to stay home and play for Pete, this implies, at least, some level of OKGness and a willingness to buy in.Tequilla said:To the point about Tre'Shaun buying in and proof ... he chose Oregon and the #WillieKnows hype machine over UW as a Seattle kid ...

@jhfstyle24 yo any word on this kid potentially flipping?? What is the word in the high school world.

No players in WA that get UW offers should leave. We have a unique advantage in that that is an achievable goal. Even Sark made it happen (before all the WA coaches realized he was a fraud and the bottom fell out)... but it needs to happen.
If kids feel UW is the default school to go to and we are winning 10 games/year over the next 3 years, we are going to see this program hit the fucking moon with all the talent coming up in-state.
So, get Tre'Shaun. Dude is elite.
Reading into a kid's behavior is too much. If we offered, go fucking get him.
