I've seen this phenomena with my own eyes. Back in 2000 I went with a couple buddies over to Pullme for Senior Golf. For the uninitiated, Senior Golf starts in the morning going from hole-to-hole (house-to-house) drinking all the alcohol available and heading off to the next hole. The 9th hole is at The Cuog.
We catch up with the party at the 8th hole which is a small apartment complex with a courtyard. After working on inebriation for a while, I look up and some guy has climbed out of his window on to the roof. He yells for everyone's attention. He commences to take his belt off, put it over the power line attached to the roof, and steps off the roof to ostensibly zip-line to the ground. But as anyone with kindergarten degree could have predicted, the belt immediately pops out of his hands and he drops straight to the ground below.
Thankfully for him (but not the Darwin Awards) he was incredibly drunk and landed on grass.
