Everyone is essentially making the same point. The base defense is essentially a 4-2-5. 2-4-5, 2-2-2-5... Whatever the fuck you want to call it. We all watch the games.

The Sam/Buck are hybrid types, with more of an emphasis on rushing the passer than coverage.

Mathis and Kikaha were tweener DE's or 3/4 OLB's. Enough Hugh Mullen bullshit.

The problem is a lot of fucking idiots out there think we play DEs, so I'm going to keep pushing that until those people are wiped off the face of the earth.
    Rule 1. Mods?

Buck and Sam are DE's. If your playing DE 95% of the time out of a two point stance and dropping into coverage 5% of the time your a fucking DE. Standing up instead of putting your hand in the ground to show the QB that you're a threat to drop into coverage doesn't make you an OLB. When the Buck or Sam do drop into coverage all they do is drop into a zone in the flat. The coaches rarely drop them into coverage because they are susceptible to getting beat by RB's on wheel routes. Don't try to correct me if you don't know shit.

I guess you're too young to remember Feeny and Littleton playing Buck and Sam.
    They were definitely not DE's
    How will we replace them?

If anything besides a 2-2-2-5 it's a 3-3-5. Sam is not a DE by any stretch. Buck is a hybrid.
