Russian hacking is only interesting in that the Qataris are screaming about it and the US confirmed that it did in fact occur. Trump visit might account for timing, the arms deal less so, since the "deal" was really just PR surrounding sales to SA that have been in the works since The Obummer administration and that may or may not ever actually happen.Dude61 said:

Saudi's (and us) don't want Qatar to build a Russia partnered natural gas pipeline. We have pledged enough in military support to ensure that won't happen. Ain't rocket surgery.
