Fuck Paris and fuck global warming. Feel free to reduce your carbon emissions to nil, living a tiny insignificant life in your tiny home in the woods while the earth continues warming up. The rest of us will just live as we always do until we die while the earth continues warming up.

we weren't reaching that goal without the clean power plan regardless.
Which is something that was working which is of course why trump and the rest of the anti-science GOP idiots are against it.
Isn't it great supporting a party that is proud of it's ignorance and stupidity? -
Could and will happen at anytime and there ain't a thing we can do about it. Maybe we should implement an asteroid agreement? Maybe that will save us.WilburHooksHands said:

It's always funny to see people whine that we are making the world mad. Yes, we are. We backed out of an agreement of which we are the primary funding source (of a minimum $100 billion a year in foreign aid but expected by all to go higher) for an agreement in which each country sets its own emission standards, of which Obama promised to go ~25% lower from our 2005 number and China agreed to go ~100% higher from its 2005 number.
And we would get to pay for windmills in places like China in the process....

This is a good take. The US has already been reducing emissions as it is. The free market is likely going to do 80% of what the Paris agreement would have done.Doogles said:Sounds like he withdrew from a meaningless paper policy. If Kim jong Un is a part of it then what good is it really?
And LOL about China seizing the opportunity to become a world leader on climate change.
Non-issue either way. It won't be chinteresting.Trump'sObama's just fucking around to claim bullshit victories that have no meaningful value. See the party after the House passed the AHCA for further details. -

Except for the $$$$ we would commit to fund backwater countries alternative energy startups only to have China come in an buy them for pennies on the dollar like the Obama game.TierbsHsotBoobs said:It's a voluntary agreement where each country defines how it can do its part to affect climate change.
There was no downside to being in the agreement, but Trump gonna Trump.

Trump is playing the take-away negotiation game. Since liberal communists don't understand that nuance, here's how it plays in the business word:salemcoog said:

Fuck you - we are out on the Paris Accord.
Oh...you might be interested in trading a fair-share payment to NATO if the US pretends to care about climate change?
Well, let's have drinks and talk.

Sounds like you agree that global warming is linked to carbon emissions.GrundleStiltzkin said:https://www.cato.org/blog/statement-us-withdraw-paris-climate-treaty
The Paris climate treaty is climatically insignificant. EPA’s own models show it would only lower global warming by an inconsequential two-tenths of a degree Celsius by 2100. The cost to the U.S. – in the form of required payments of $100 billion per year to the developing world – is too great for the inconsequential results. These very real expenses will consume money that could be used by the private sector to fund innovative new technologies that are economically sound and can power our society with little pollution.
Because of our private investments in technological innovation, America leads the world in reducing carbon dioxide emissions from power plants. We did that without Paris, and we will continue our exemplary leadership without it. -

We're in an ice age. Global warming can help prolong the lull before everything freezes over again. I'm all for it.
