LeBron chased a ring, KD chased a ring. They're both good players irregardless.

I don't know a single person that is a basketball purist that doesn't love watching Golden State play ...
They move the ball consistently ...
Their off the ball movement is spectacular ...
They routinely show that they play for each other and put team accomplishments above individual stats ...
As Pop said after the Western Finals, what the Warriors don't get credit for is how good defensively they are ... when they lock in defensively and mirror that with their elite offensive game it's as pure of basketball as you get ...
If you want to get critical with the way the Warriors play it's that every once in a while they (Curry in particular) will take some 3's that in an ideal world aren't the best of shots ... but it's part of their game and nobody looks sideways about it ...
Forget any BS reason as to why KD went to the Warriors and particularly the narrative about chasing a ring ... he went to GS because of the unselfishness and team atmosphere that is inline with how he views the game (go listen/read any interview before/during the season) and the antithesis of what OKC was ...
GS pissed away the Finals last year and they know it ... the Cavs to me look like a Sark type team in that they are great front runners but sometimes can get a little ragged when they get punched in the mouth. GS is by far the better defensive team. The only thing that the Cavs do better defensively than GS is play more physical (helped them big time last year in the Finals) ... I suspect that this will be in an issue in this year's Finals. GS has multiple people that can at least compete against LBJ ... which is a huge aspect to slowing down the Cavs from just getting whatever they want when teams can't.
I'd be very surprised if the Warriors didn't win this series in at most 5 games.

Lebron, Wade and Bosh made their own team and that team didn't win until Lebron embraced being the man. Golden State already won a championship and then won 73 games. Durant's a dick rider.ThomasFremont said:LeBron chased a ring, KD chased a ring. They're both good players irregardless.

Everybody chases a ring. It's just that for some players, chasing a ring means staying put.ThomasFremont said:LeBron chased a ring, KD chased a ring. They're both good players irregardless.

Except for Westbrook. He chases stats. -
What's actually hilarious is if Westbrook didn't make sure to average a triple double the same guys ripping him for doing it would now be ripping him for not doing it. Saw the same shit with Kobe. He scored like 60 points in 3 quarters once and took himself out of the game, everyone crushed him. Then weeks later he scores 81 and everyone crushed him.

It's a little different since Kobe has a hand full of jewelry. He never had to choose between stats or rings, he could chase both.allpurpleallgold said:What's actually hilarious is if Westbrook didn't make sure to average a triple double the same guys ripping him for doing it would now be ripping him for not doing it. When Westbrook resigned in OKC he chose chasing stats over chasing a ring. That's not necessarily all bad, there's a pro loyalty part of me that respects it when a star resigns with the team who drafted him, even if they aren't a winner. But in this case especially Westbrook clearly wanted the chance to not just stay put but rack up stats.
Mission accomplished. -
That would be great except when Kobe scored 81 he had 3 rings and was getting crushed for not winning without Shaq.
I don't know how you can know what Westbrook was thinking. He also took the deal that guaranteed the most money now and increased his future earning potential. There's something else you can crush him for.
Also I crushed Durant for not winning it last year and I'll crush him for winning it this year. We all do it.
