Yesterday we got two Crystal balls one for Kevin Porter Jr, SG from Rainier Beach and one for Miles Norris, PF from Chula Vista (Mater Dei Catholic).
Kevin Porter Jr had a huge weekend at the Nike EYBL tournament. Had 24pts 11reb, 6pts 4reb, 19pts 4reb, 16pts 6reb in his 4 games with Seattle Rotary. Local guy, I really hope Hop and Conroy had get him.
Miles Norris not sure if he has any ties to UW. Not the same Mater Dei as Hop I think.
Other targets are :
J'Raan Brook PF from Garfield.
Spencer Freedman PG from Hop's Mater Dei.
It would be really good to get at least the 2 Seattle guys

Looks like you're new, so i'll be nice. This is the dumbest fucking doog shit that can ever grace these boards. It shouldn't matter where the fuck players come from, as long as they can put together a team which is competitive on the court and represent the school. Too many morons think Seattle is this huge pool of unreal talent(which is isn't, @DNC laid this out quite well a month ago). If the guy is legit top end D1 player, then by all means I hope he comes here. But not because he's local, but because he has talent(which is something this team lacks quite a bit of).FrenchHusky said:

Now that Romar is gone, can we all dispel the stupid shit of "we need to get UW full of seattle guys and that will make us better" doogisms....
Welcome to the borrrrd Frenchy. -
The advantage to Seattle guys is they're easier to get, so by that token yes, it's nice to get local kids. They aren't a neccessity though and surely aren't a guarantee of success.FreeChavez said:

I don't care if they're from France and wear pink Parisian tutus as long as they win.
That said I want Porter, not because he's local but because he's good. Not as confident about Brooks but probably him too. -
I agree with what you're saying but these guys aren't just two random Seattle guys, they're pretty good players. But it's true, it doesn't matter when the players come from we just need guys that will make us the best team possible

Word is Brooks is all Stanford right now

I never blame the kids for taking a couple years of Stanford education!bananasnblondes said:Word is Brooks is all Stanford right now

I really want the white PG. Haven't seen that in a long time at UW

You're in Tacoma, when was the last time you saw a white person in general?KevininTacoma said:I really want the white PG. Haven't seen that in a long time at UW

We've had mostly excellent PG play the last 16 years. Hell I'm not sure how many schools in the country have a better list of PG's in that time period than the ten Dawgs who played at least some PG in their time here listed below.KevininTacoma said:I really want the white PG. PG hasn't been the problem.
Conroy
Robinson
Roy
Overton
Dentmon
Thomas
Andrews
NWG
Murray
Fultz
Only real dips were the Dentmon sophomore-junior years (with Appleby) and the post IT Gaddy years.
White PG's can be good, maybe this kid is. But PG's the one position I'd gladly take continued Romar era play from. -
Emmitt Matthews from Wilson in Tacoma had also gotten an offer. 6'7" lefty wing.

Agree. However, the white PG looks really good to me.dnc said:
