Do we have a shot?
Here's a scout article talking about him that I cannot read, due to paywall, but he does plan to visit:
scout.com/college/football/recruiting/story/1753009-wests-no-1-cornerback-has-standouts
Would be huge if we can land him, total stud.

If Jimmy wants him, he is usually able to get a visit at least.
-
Fuck no.

More like if USC wants him, they will get him.WeakarmCobra said:If Jimmy wants him, he is usually able to get a visit at least.

When did I say we will get him? I said we will get a visit.DubSixGamer said:

At any other position I'd say we don't have a prayer, but Lake is a monster. In the vid he says he's coming up for UW's first game. If that legitimately happens, we probably have about a ten percent shot. #SoYoureTellingMeThere'sAChance

Let's stop using the "Do we have a shot?" thread titles please.

Stay tuned.... -
If we make it back to the CFP we have a 10% chance at an old school Romar second place finish.
-
Yes. Lake has been on him for a while, and we are about to have a CB taken in the 1st and the 2nd rounds of the draft, and we should be top 10 for all of next season.

How about "DDY, CBTP, a Q?"CuntWaffle said:Let's stop using the "Do we have a shot?" thread titles please.

We are the land of coffee but have no cups

None of that shit will make a difference. He's not going to UW. He's an attention craving Californian. He'll probably commit to Bama, then decommit and go to USC at the end.HoustonHusky said:Yes. I don't think anyone thinks we're the favorite or that he is likely to come here, but there is still definitely a small possibility. Multiple times he has tweeted that UW might be considered a new DBU. I'd say at the current moment it's a 5-10% possibility that could either raise or fall throughout the course of this draft cycle.Dennis_DeYoung said:

Now that I've said that, I'm open to the roasting all new posters seem to receive on this site. -
Jaiden Woodbey trolled all the same
shit about liking UW. Just committed
to OSU. -

He's either trolling us or Lake is putting in work...I don't think it's smart to doubt Jimmy Lake..

Keep on dreaming in

He tweets literally anything that recruiting staffs send him. Don't read into it this early on.

For kids that really want the attention they may think they really like Washington until they start hearing from the blue bloods ...
When West Coast kids leave the area that makes our job that much harder ... I'm all for SC expanding their recruiting base nationally ... makes it easier for us -

It's almost like we have room for more than one CB.WeakarmCobra said:Why the fuck are people enamored with players out of state? Kyler Gordon is a great option. Lets get this fucker.

Last time I saw our roster, it looks like we are pretty solid on corners but a little light on safeties.dnc said:

Kyler is good and we will get him unless something really weird happens.WeakarmCobra said:

For the last two classes we have:
CB: Murphy, Love, Taylor, Molden
S: Rapp, Gilchrist, McKinney
Given that we play 5 DBs we probably want about 3/year (just like at OL I guess). This year, if we add 3 to that we should be in great shape.
ITS is the kind of kid who is going to act like he's it's possible he'll go to UW for a while because he thinks it will shock the world, but then that shit will wear out and he will just focus on Bama, USC, Ohio State and all that. In the end, he'll go to USC.
This is no different than Hunter Echols or Jaiden Woodbey.
The other piece of this is that the Pac-12 needs to step up their rep. We are getting robbed of a LOT of the best players from our region because people think Ohio State and Michigan are better than what they can get on the WC. The truth is, UW is a better destination than both for 80% of kids because Pete is an elite coach, but also cares about his players. -
This guy is the Priest Willis/ Darnay Holmes of this year. He will waffle back and forth between the LA schools for attention and will never live up to the hype. Meanwhile, Lake will pick up a solid 4-star kid that will commit early and without much noise. In the end, UW will have the better player.
