Agree on the professional protesters but disagree on Milo. The guy whose appearance they were protesting is a shit, gratuitously provocative and brings nothing to the national conversation. .......

The Milos on Rogan podcast was one of the best I've ever heard.Southerndawg said:

You are so full of shit. The Occupy rallys were violent nearly everywhere they were staged. And quit making excuses for the rioters. There were students fucking shit up as well last night.BearsWiin said:There's a group of "professional rioters" who showed up at the peaceful rally last night and turned it into a shitty riot. If you recall a few years back, there were Occupy marches all over the country. One of the few places that the marches turned violent was in Oakland, because these guys showed up and ruined things. Not sure if they're true anarchists or just want to make legitimate protests look bad. Same thing with the Black Lives Matter movement.
Edit: Looks like it was BAMN that showed up and ruined things. Nice to see that Trump reads Fox headlines, as he's tweeting about cutting funding to UC even though it was the University that upheld his invitation to speak (UCLA rescinded their invitation and UCDavis cancelled his speech there because of fears of violence).
The guy whose appearance they were protesting is a shit, gratuitously provocative and brings nothing to the national conversation. But he's got a right to be heard, just as they have the right to protest his "message," whatever the hell it is.
Back when I was an undergrad Meir Kahane came to speak at Cal, and there were similar protests. Security was tight because of death threats against him, and there were some pretty vehement protests outside, but his presentation went off without a hitch (I attended). Kahane was assassinated in New York a year or two later.
It's a fine little bubble you've created for yourself and I see the weak sisters here have cuddled under your wing.

Serious querey: are you this intellectually lazy in real life, or do you just do it here to blow off steam?salemcoog said:

300 years ago, Milo would have been burned at the stake accused of being a witch. Progress.

You misconstrued "intellectually lazy." In so doing, you answered the question.salemcoog said:

Gotcha. See, I understnad that Race is a bitter ex-liberal who feels Betrayed By The Movement so he's going to tweak people but deep down in his core he doesn't really believe much of what he says. I get that hondo is a keening liberal who spouts the party line to the poont that we all want to reach through the computer screen and spray acid in his face even if we agree with what he writes. I get that sledog is a longtime Dittohead who has graduated from the gateway drug of Rush to harder, coarser commentary to the poont that he's lost the ability to separate fact from fiction and can only communicate in gross typecasting and namecalling. Just trying to get a feel for where you fit in on the continuum here, whether you tend towards thoughtful or merely hateful, and thus are worthy of engaging or ignoring.salemcoog said:
