Hurts is the reason this team wasn't Saban's best. The defense was probably his best. Not the best OL either. 2011 and 2012 were dominant Alabama teams. -

I'm not sure Saban has a "best" team in terms of historically good. All of his QB's and RB's have been shit in the NFL. His offense has always been to run it a ton and throw safe routes.RoadDawg55 said:

The defense has always been solid. The reality is he is better than his players. His worst season is 10-3 with a bowl win and a Top 10 finish in nine years. You only get 25 kids a year. To never fuck up in over two full recruiting cycles is crazy. -
