Idaho should get with Minnesota, N Dakota and a few other like minded schools who don't tak football seriously and form their own football division

You're a loser program because you canned the coach who won you nine games and gave in to social justice warriors.

Or they are using it as an excuse to fire him. If they get Fleck because of this, they'll look like geniuses.

We wanted to run Sark after he won 9 (okay 8 + Tui). If Sark equated running a train on a girl to "making the world a better place", I'd use it as an excuse to send him out of town too.

In 2016 Minnesota won 9 games for only the second time in HISTORY.

The only other time was in 2003

So I haven't followed this much and now I'm confused.

Is he getting fired for suspending the kids who ran the train or is he getting fired for having kids on the team who ran the train?

This seems like the perfect storm that could lead to the great campus war between the BLM folks and the Rapeculture feminist folks

In 2003 they had Marion Barber AND Laurence Maroney.

They were 6-0 and hosting Michigan. Up 28-7 entering the fourth quarter they lost 38-35 despite rushing for 424 yards.

    Never forget.

So, in 2003 they actually won 10.75 games?

I doubt Minnesota is that sophisticated.

Plus Flick is unproven. Sure he might be great. He could also just be a good MAC coach who is just another Glen Mason.

Agree. There's no way they fired him to hire Fleck. IF that happens, blind.squirrel.nut button engaged. Minnesota is SJW mecca, nothing more or less to it.

From what I've heard (haven't researched the story enough to know one way or another) happened ...

    1) Minnesota suspended the 10 players for the Bowl Game

    2) Players boycotted activities following suspension feeling like players didn't get their due process or some shit like that

    3) Claeys supported the players

    4) Claeys supported the players even though he had read a report that the Administration had in suspending those players showing that there was beyond reasonable cause for the suspension ...

    5) Player leaders organizing the boycott were invited to read the report ...

    6) Player leaders organizing the boycott dropped the boycott ...

    7) Claeys put on notice that his actions would be reviewed after the bowl game ...

    8) Claeys fired for not holding players accountable for their actions ...

That shit might work in other areas of the country but it will NEVER work in the Big 10 because they are about winning the right way.

Let's not forget Mike Bellotti calling a time out for them late so they could get the game winning field goal crew on the field.

Mediocre Mike was the ultimate sportsman.

When you combine that with his about face ... I'd agree that that's a terminable offense

Minnesota clearly doesn't give a fuck about football. Sucks because I was gonna jump on their bandwagon next year and cheer them and even wear a knock off Chinese jersey to the local Walmart and obnoxiously yell War Gopher! down the Coffee and Mexican Food aisle while not giving a shit. I need a new team to bandwagon to, join in on their traditions and talk shit to their opponents. I'm thinking Purdue? Do they have a rival? Roll Oil Tankers!
