I'm not aware of a rollover portion of Sarkisian's contract. Last I saw, he has 2 years left from the extension he signed in 2011.

After the Holiday Bowl, Woody got nervous and re-negotiated the original. Said it was good for recruiting
So 2 years remaining - $2.7 million (2014) & $2.85 million (2015). Buyout was increased from 60% to 70%
Also numerous incentives - think one was $25,000 if he gets to 7 wins and $150,000 if UW makes it to a non-BCS bowl game. House money -
Paying nearly $3.9 million to send Sark door.ass.out. is an expensive divorce...but totally worth it.unfrozencaveman said:After the Holiday Bowl, Woody got nervous and re-negotiated the original. Said it was good for recruiting

That number might be enough to scare Woodtard into Deathwatch14 though. -
This is why recruiting is getting so hard for Sark at UW. The obvious question in every recruits(and parents) mind is: "So how do we know you'll be here for Johnny's Junior and Senior years?"
Everybody knows that as a player one thing you DON'T want to do is suffer through a coaching change and be locked into a school with no options and have the new coach come in and play his guys over you. -
$3.9 seems like a lot but its doable
To Sark's credit - he has saved us money. Hasn't reached any of his original goals which are incentivized as follows:
$100,000 for winning the league
$300,000 for appearing in a BCS bowl
$400,000 for making the BCS championship game
$500,000 bonus for a national title
Just pointing out the silver lining -
Shit. I didn't realize his buyout was so high. Well, that settles that.unfrozencaveman said:After the Holiday Bowl, Woody got nervous and re-negotiated the original. Said it was good for recruiting

Unless we terminate him for cause.. Perhaps we should start surveilling Joey's?
