So the QB play will be a big factor in the game?

    Jesus.

First off, the QB doesn't always play a huge factor in games. Often they just manage the game without putting up gaudy stats or committing backbreaking turnovers. Handing the ball off, throwing the ball away when nothing is open, punting the ball to preserve field position, and letting your defense do their thing is frequently a winning strategy.

This is how bama manages their young QB. In contrast, UW asks Jake to do much more. His season has been one of high rewards (throwing tons of TDs and winning 12 games) and high risks (his performances vs. usc and colorado). So, the likelihood of Jake making a mistake is much higher than bama's QB because of UW's system.

This is why Helton's comments were interesting. He didn't say the game would come down to which team would establish the run, which team would play better defense, or any number of other important factors. Right after commenting how usc frustrated Jake, he said the game would be decided by which QB made the fewest mistakes.

One more thing, the first asshole on any thread is often funny, even if it comes at your expense. Being the fifth just makes you look unoriginal and insecure.

You're reading way too much into this. He's not saying anything at all. That's what coaches do.

Really? Of all the positions and players he could identify, and all of the issues that could impact the game (running the ball, defense, penalties, field position, etc.), he just happened to pick "which quarterback makes mistakes" as the one that will decide the game. And looking at these two teams, you have 1 QB that doesn't do a whole lot, and another that has been terribly erratic over the last 4 weeks. Also, Helton identified disrupting Jake as the reason usc won.

    A coincidence? Right.
I really don't get you. 81% of the time you're perfectly reasonable and provide great insight. Then you just lose your shit and go full Simple Jack retard for the other 19% and don't make any sense whatsoever. Helton doesn't give a fuck about this game, and his quote is a textbook example of bland coach speak. I have no idea how anyone could read it and even give it a second thought.
