I would like to know what the bored thinks about Wilcox's performance at WA. I was hopeful he was going to be a real improvement. Doesn't look that way. But, I wouldn't be surprised if he takes a position somewhere else next season. It almost appears he has quit on Sark.

As difficult as it must be to play for Sark, it must really suck to coach under him. Might this explain, in part, disappointing defensive performance in conference play? Or, is Wilcox just not good enough?

    I think Wilcox is proving that he's an average DC. He's not Nick Holt awful but he's not this elite DC that many in here have propped him up to be.

    I noticed postgameorangeslices stopped posting in here after claiming Wilcox was a top 5 DC in the nation and he proceeded to shit the bed the following two weeks. Yesterday's defensive performance wasn't very good either.

    Assistant coaches under a bad to average head coach have a low ceiling. I still think Wilcox is a great DC but he needs to get the fuck out from under skippy or it's going to set his career trajectory back about five years for every one spent here.

    I agree. He's between good and great, but he works for a retarded head coach. With a real head coach, there's no way he gives up 52 to ASU. Take out that game, and he's been good. Oregon demolished him too, but Oregon has fucked up every team this year.

    Right. After the first drive, Sark went 3 and out or turned it over every series until halftime. That's what led to the wheels coming off.
