If we run for 100 yards we win this game

Jesus here we go... as if we didn't learn from fucking the USC gameBlowItUp said:
Cause we should for sure try to line up and run it straight at a team giving up 2.03 yards per rush. Good game plan.NeGgaPlEaSe said:
You don't beat Bama with trick plays and Bubble screensBlowItUp said:there are not many ways to beat Bama, but thier run D is historically good. we need the browning pre Oregon state to show up or we are fucked.

There are other options than exclusively running up the middle. For us to be successful we will have to use a north south running game but coupled with a strong showing from browning in the short and intermediate passing game. At no point should jake attempt to go deep or it will get picked. We just have to stick to our strengths, let explosive plays occur naturally if they do (as opposed to our coaches attempts to fabricate them), and just keep their offense in check.BlowItUp said:

I don't see any path to victory that allows for blowing them out. We have a chance to win though by playing our best with a sound game plan that focuses on our strengths. -
This is literally the exact opposite of SC, SC was vulnerable against the run which is why it was FS to try and pass it. Alabama is not vulnerable against the run at all. You have to be balanced.NeGgaPlEaSe said:

I'm not expecting us to win, nor to have much success on offense.
Losing 27-13 or something would be acceptable. Don't pull a MSU.
If death row can force hurts into some bad throws or UW gets a ST TD UW has a chance.
And I know people hate them, but you will need to run at least one trick play

You do have to be balanced... totally agree. And doing a run heavy game would be foolish. Balanced attack. Stay a step ahead of our defensive play calling. As little time between snaps as possible, even if you haven't gotten super efficient or practiced at that.
-
yep. may have to break out hurry up and rely on the defense to hold up. tall ask but might be the only way

Will Smith have the discipline to stick with the run even when bama initially stuffs it? He didn't against usc. Crisp short and intermediate routes MUST be practiced over them next couple weeks. Jake will need to get rid of the ball quickly AND BE ACCURATE.
Abandoning the run too early and inaccurate deep balls will lead to a blowout. -
Our Defense is better than their offense. Hopefully Ross and Pettis can get loose in the return game.Passion said:Will Smith have the discipline to stick with the run even when bama initially stuffs it? He didn't against usc. I don't think anyone hates trick plays but they do hate 3 or 4 in one half.dhdawg said:I'm not expecting us to win, nor to have much success on offense.

Exactly. It is how they are implemented., not that they are. They are a good thing when properly applied.RoadDawg55 said:
