Once Sark retired his Denny's menu play call sheet he got a lot less frustrating as a play caller. In 2013 he might have gone a little too far the other way with his tiny index card. I bet if he split the difference and had a greeting card size sheet, he'd hit the happy medium.
Sark was not afraid to win ugly. He would grind out a win running with Polk no issue. Problem was the teams pschye was shit and the o line usually sucked. At USC he was more pass happy though so who knows.

Price threw 20 passes. Sankey ran it 34 times. I don't remember every series, but I remember a shitty first half followed by UW dominance in the 2nd half.
Sark and Babushka/Petersen do the same bullshit at times and get pass happy. They have balanced offenses, but are all former QB's.
The main difference is Babushka has a way better QB and OL than Sark ever did because this team is much better recruited and coached than the Sark teams.

Bad example. He did do this more at USC though.
2012 at Arizona is the best example. Sark threw 52 times, running backs had 19 carries. Against the worst run defense in the league.
