He expects the players to focus on the next game because that is what they are trained to do. If a 15 second coach-speak answer to an elephant in the room question is going to throw off their focus, then they don't deserve to win the conference title. -
He's side stepped that question for like 8 weeks now. I think he realizes he needs to stick up for his team a bit this week. And he barely even acknowledged it anyways. Not a big deal.
