Biggest missed explosive play was the double pass, but Pettis isn't a QB. I yelled at the tv, but WR's will sometimes throw shitty passes or panic, which Pettis did.

You cannot have an offense designed for the OPPOSITE of what your players can do well and expect to do well.
There isn't any ambiguity about Smith not getting it at this point. Pete doesn't get it either. Chunk plays are a product of a good offense, not the catalyst for one.
Our offense vs. Stanford was masterful. Against Oregon State, Cal and now USC it was a farce waiting to be exploited. -
It's pretty simple. Explosive plays work a lot against shit defenses. Against teams with athletes like USC you might get one or two a game but they will shut down everything else.
