Poolboy added two more years on the deal (2019 & 2020) at rate of $4m + Performance Bonuses
Peterman or another school can buyout the contract for $3million ($2.5 million next year)

What do I do with this information?
Is he underpaid? Once it goes past $1,000 it's all just mumbo jumbo to me. -
He can wear a pink tutu for all I care as long as he wins
-
I assume the point being made is that if he is offered $10M we have a long way to go to be competitive and it is well worth his own money to accept that deal if offered (if only viewed from a financial perspective).phineas said:What do I do with this information?

Consider the context if U-Fill offers 4 X $10Mphineas said:What do I do with this information?

I just read the other thread. I didn't know this 10 million dollar contract deal was a thingMad_Son said:

Oregon would be on the hook for some serious cash. 10M per for Peterman, plus 3M upfront for buyout, plus Slingblades' buyout (which I think is pretty big). That said, Phil could buy the entire state of Oregon if he wanted, so if he wants it, no problem.Mad_Son said:

What I *do* know is that if Petersen does get bought out, there will be no legitimate search and Cohen will just promote from within to go cheap since she can't figure out how to get fans to the games.
-
Oh for sure. If Peterman were to leave, it's over. Just push Husky Stadium into the lake and salt the earth.MelloDawg said:What I *do* know is that if Petersen does get bought out, there will be no legitimate search and Cohen will just promote from within to go cheap since she can't figure out how to get fans to the games.

I know you're being Sarkastic but Jen pushed the Peterman hireMelloDawg said:What I *do* know is that if Petersen does get bought out, there will be no legitimate search and Cohen will just promote from within to go cheap since she can't figure out how to get fans to the games.

Stop the panic. Peterman is going nowhere
Washington is BACK bitches -
Doesn't mean she'd do what it takes to keep him. $10 million a year isn't happening at UW so no real blame if she CAN'T keep him, but fucking blame if she goes cheap and just gives it to an assistantBaseman said:

Though I hear Jimmy Lake is good -
Coach Nuss seems to be a suitable replacement? Maybe bring Sark back after Saban got ahold of him? Kiffy? Or maybe Cohen can package a trade deal for Brady Hoke?

Honestly if we are at the point we are paying college football coaches $10+ million a year while the kids get paid nothing I think that's the day I walk away from college sports.
-
I suspect assistants would also be in the 3-4M/year range as well.Swaye said:

In Washington history only two coaches ever left on their own for another college job, right? Darrel Royal, who was here for a single year. And the drunken fat frat hamster.

Well besides Saban that is. -
-
If you add the other Saban incentives including the golf membership, private jet usage, and mortgage payments for his homes etc. etc. it is well north of $10 million.
