Wilner gives Sark his due credit for the undefeated Huskies

To be totally honest, Sark was recruiting against Pual Wulff and his band of merry mental midget assistants.CuntWaffle said:Sark recruited players that liked to be recruited and not the ones who love football. Sure he got a few guys from in state but no matter who is the coach of WA they will get those guys.

Is it ok to call for Wilner to be castrated around here? -
Lindquist should have gone to UCLA to hold a clipboard.Doogles said:
Qualls was destined to be good no matter what. I was shocked Sark actually red shirted him.WilburHooksHands said:
King would still be a useless safety and Qualls probably would have quit or be fat as fuck.RoadDawg55 said:Sark's 2013 class was legit. Only because of Petersen though. Players have developed and this year finally developed some consistency under Petersen. That never happened with Sark.
But Ross, Qualls, Victor, Bierria, King, Daniels, String.... I'm sure that class had some kind of fucked up balance, but all these guys are big time players. Only a few probably would have been under Sark.
String and Peters were the only guys who left that were legit regardless.
Kikaha was always good. Shelton went from undrafted to first rounder because of Petersen.
Lindquist is probably Petersen's biggest failure in terms of player development. Maybe he's just comfortable and won't put in the work necessary, but he has the tools. -
Please tell me you're talking about Danny Shelton and not the NFL potential for Coleman Shelton.Doogles said:

His struggles at QB aside, Lindquist is a reliable holder for field goals and PATs.
I saw him perfectly place at least one high snap against Utah.
Not every player is going to pan out like his recruiting profile suggests.
But Lindquist is contributing to the team.

if this helps sark get the fresno state job then im all for it.

Very optimistic outlook on Lindquist. He's horrible and a white walk on WR could hold just as well as Lindquist.BabsGilbyTawdTy said:His struggles at QB aside, Lindquist is a reliable holder for field goals and PATs.

I do like that Petersen get guys playing time if they are doing the right things. I hated it when Constantine was letting the opponent gets 10 yards every run, but it mostly helps. It's why guys like O'Brien, Beaver, and even Psalm aren't total disasters even though they aren't good. They actually played in real games, not just garbage time. -
Oof. I forgot about Constantine.RoadDawg55 said:

So you like "program guys" who fit into whatever role the coaches ask.RoadDawg55 said:

But you think it's also important we recognize these same program guys are actually not worth a shit.
Is that the point you're making?
I'm good with any player the coaches think is contributing to UW Football.
We're gonna have 85 players on scholarship. Many of them will never be full-time starters, but that doesn't mean they can't help the Dawgs win in even a some way.
It's also a lot easier for the staff to manage egos when kids accept and embrace their places as role players.

I will always be thankful Sark was willing to take the job when literally no one else would.
-
You guys will eat your words when Lindy wins that award for non playing players this year
-
Thankful to some guy getting booed at SC for his pathetic play calling taking a multi million dollar job without ever being a HC before LOL. Ya thanks Sarky you were such a good guy.
Is this writer on the ' Let's rehab Sark's imagine ' agents payroll like Cowturd, Yogi, and Kiffin. What a joke. Sark would have been fired right after the Cyrus Miles disaster at qb. -
Sark as a good recruiter is a fucking joke. You have to look at the guys he recruited and developed himself to really compare.
First class ('09) was awful. 19 players, 1 guy who was HM AC (Keith Price), and then two guys who were around for a while (Fellner and Shamburger)... AND THAT'S IT.
Second class was bloated and cruddy. Out of THIRTY ONE signees I don't think any reached All Pac honors under Sark (in 4 years). The best years of the all but one (Sean Parker) who did well from this class (Kikaha, Timu, Hudson) were under Pete and most graduated having only shown promise and not breaking through (Kev Smith, Ducre, Fuimaono) and then there were just a lot of players who never rose to AC level (Riva, Atoe, Hatchie, Tanigawa, Callier, Criste) and ultimately were mediocre players on mid-tier teams.
By contrast, Pete's first class (patched together after he was hired; the one holdover from Sark's class was dismissed immediately) had 23 players and has 5 legit AC Honors players (Budda, McGary, Gaines, Sid, Dante) and many others who will either become legit (JoJo Mac? Jaylen) or be contributors on some important scale.
Sark's 2012 class was abysmal. We signed 25 players and out of that had 3 legit players (Shaq, Jake E, Cory L.) and two 'contributors' (Mickens and Brostek) and one ass clown who plays (Wooching).
Pete's second class (only in their second year) is already better. Jake Browning, Myles Gaskin and Trey Adams are all legit All American type contenders, and there is good reason to be optimistic about many more of the players.
Sark recruited 5 classes at Washington. In that time, he had one major recruiting coup (Shaq) and did well on in state guys until locals got to know him. The rest was hit or miss. He had two AA types while he was here in Sankey and ASJ and that's about it.
Pete's first two classes have had at least two All Americans in them (Budda and Sid; Jake, Trey and potentially Myles).
