Fuck, Just Heard Mora with Huard

Oneil: "there was a very specific way that washington played under coach james. That you knew the strengths you were gonna get from them, you knew the emphasis on special teams, you knew the level of discipline and accountability."

I wonder which new alt IMALOSER will use then.TheKobeStopper said:
HRYK. They're just going to post this crap until Mora plungers Sark and then they'll be gone anyways.RaceBannon said:Hypothetical Sark >>>>> REAL Mora
Fuck these assholes. Run them all -
Don't forget- Sark feasted on Utah and Colorado in 11& 12. If he played UCLA & ASU instead of the usual 5-4, he'd probably be 4-5 at best.
-
Exactly, every coach is going to have down years. The thing is "down" years for great coaches are like 8-5/9-4.whuggy said:Don James didn't always win championships.
He had some lean years. But you always felt
he was getting the most out of what he had
and if he had a bad year he was going to work
his ASS off to fix it. Mora gives me the same
feeling. With Sark, I feel like when he fucks up
his solution is to just turn the music up louder
at practice. Guess I'm kind of old school Husky
but just want to get back to days that even if you
lost, at least you hurt a few of theirs, legally of
course. Come home Jim.

He's 1-3 right now, second from last in the PAC 12 North. It's debatable that he gets to 4-5 this year. He could very well could end up 3-6 with wins vs Cal and Colorado, losses @UCLA, @OSU and vs WSU.
-
How does the South make a difference when UCLA plays both Oregon and Stanford from the North this year? UCLA is unlucky enough to skip OSU and WSU this year. These misses are the same quality as UW's misses of Utah and USC. There's a chance that Mora has as many wins in years 1-2 as Sark in years 1-3.alumni94 said:Opps. Right he went 9-5 last year.
Let's be honest, Sark could do that is the south.TierbsHsotBoobs said:
Shouldn't he go 8-5 at UCLA first before you say he'll get UW to 8-5?alumni94 said:Mora "the underachiever" will get us to 8-5. He showed on Saturday why he is not the answer. There must be a better answer.

Like whuggy, I was a bit slow about appreciating what Mora could do for the program. He seems to have a vacancy in his heart and soul that will only be filled by returning to WA as the head coach.
There may be better qualified candidates, but I doubt there would be any with more passion for WA football than Mora.
I hope, without any realistic expectation of it happening, Mora becomes the HC at WA before next season.
1) Who's in charge of arranging the charter plane to get us all down to Westwood to plead our case?Who's making the cake?

UW plays there in November. Get a group together to kidnap both Mora and Sark on the way to the game. Put Mora in a purple shirt and stick in UW's locker room. Put Sark in powder blue and in UCLA's locker room.Colonel_Angus said:

It'd look perfectly natural. After all, Sark is Rick without the Rose Bowl.
We'd probably get caught after the UW victory when everyone realizes UW under Sark doesn't win on the road.

That was excellent, esp this
"I've had enough of Cinderella, let's lift up Cinderella's dress and kick her in the ass"
-
I'm pretty sure there was a millisecond of Coach Mora hesitating and changing the word to "kick"

Huh? This is about whether or not Mora is the right guy to replace Sark. I want a coach that can beat Furd and Oregon, why take a chance on another guy that needs 3 years?TierbsHsotBoobs said:

Or do we need to let it play out when he gets all his own guys?
New coaches get three years, don't they?

Look, we aren't going be Alabama here, and win 3 NC's in 4 years. Whatever Coach we get is going to have rough times. DJ did FFS. But, wouldn't it be refreshing to think that if we were struggling through a 7-6 year, that would be the low point, and the head man (Mora) would get the ship turned back into the wind, because he had discipline, a plan, and total command of the ship. With Sark, I always feel like the shoals are a gnats ass hair away.... -
It is only an assumption Mora could not do at WA what he hasn't done yet at UCLA. I believe Mora would get the team to run through a wall, like it did for James. Mora at WA brings intangibles that few other coaches could bring. And if properly supported by UW, Mora would be a lifer.Your_Mom said:

Nice retort. So how many years do you wNt to give Mora? 3 at Ucla, then 3 at Uw to prove himself?TierbsHsotBoobs said:

If Mora doesn't win the Pac-12 next year at UCLA, WDWHA. -
So then you want to keep sark till then? I want Sark gone now and bring in a proven college winner
-
Swoon........how can anyone who truly loves our program not get excited when they hear this man's passion?
This man lives for coaching but when you find that person who truly turns it into a labor of love where he just knows he's at "home", not only will you get longevity, but you will get results.
Fuck our AD for not seizing this guy when they had the chance. -
Mora Jr's comments on DJ were both heart warming and difficult to get through for an old timer like me. God I miss the Dawgfather and Husky Football and because I believe I'll never experience or feel either again, things like this make me want to walk away and find other stuff to do. As I've said many times before, there are consequences to throwing away something that was so good for so long like it was just so much trash.
-
I want Sark gone at the end of the season and to bring in the best available coach. Mora is just one of many potential hires. He shouldn't be the favorite.Your_Mom said:So then you want to keep sark till then? I want Sark gone now and bring in a proven college winner

3-6 is more likely than 6-3 at this point. I think 3-6 is even more likely than 5-4.Southerndawg said:HeretoBeatmyChest said:Don't forget- Sark feasted on Utah and Colorado in 11& 12. If he played UCLA & ASU instead of the usual 5-4, he'd probably be 4-5 at best.

Sark is very fortunate with the new cupcake OOC schedule and the fact Utah and Colorado were added to the Pac-12.
Here is Sark's W-L record against Pac-12 teams
Oregon: 0-5
ASU: 0-3
Stanford: 1-4
USC: 2-2
UCLA: 1-1(home team won both)
Oregon State: 2-2(home teams won)
Arizona: 3-2(Home teams won)
WSU: 3-1
Utah: 2-0
Colorado: 2-0
Cal: 4-0 -
We agree, that was basically my point.He_Needs_More_Time said:

You know it's not even about calling Sark
shit. I honestly think the guy has done
the best he can. You can't ask for more
than that. But Husky fans have been spoiled with better
and it's not being a dick to want that back.
Thank you coach S. for your efforts but time
comes for everyone in every walk of life to move
on to where there talents are a better fit and will be more
appreciated. Shit Race probably feels his talents are
a better fit in the Inland Empire than they were Olympia.
And Tierbs I respectfully disagree when you say Mora
shouldn't be the favorite. I can't think of another
potential candidate who wouldn't devote more effort
and passion into the job. And those two qualities
would be embraced by Doogs and HHB's alike. -

Great interview by Mora, but we should have all learned our lesson about Kick Ass Presser's! and coaches who "get it" by now. The results are on the field, fuck everything else.
