How did this team get taken to OT by Arizona?

Fuck.
The funny thing is we would beat that Zona team by 70 at home. I guess it was the last of the desert black magic curse?

Also, aren't you going to change your Cal logo? We beat them 70-21. -
The south division is loaded.

It you watch that game again, we drove it down their throats and came away with nothing so many times. Shut their faggot asses down so many times but the o wouldn't reward the stops. Then the D let' their wideout quarterback sprint through the middle of the pocket for td's and large gains. Fix that shit Shitkowskie.PostGameOrangeSlices said: -
A couple of guys losing leverage or their assignment which resulted in a few huge gains for AZ. Couple that with some missed tackles in crucial situations and some fifty-fifty balls going their way and we got a close game. I was worried that would continue against Stanford and Oregon but things were fixed quickly which is a good sign of a good team.
Besides every undefeated team will have a close game against some surprise team when things just don't go their way (except for Alabama but they are a semi-pro team anyway). Now who knows if we finish undefeated this year but thus far that game looks like an out-liner. Winners win and a win is a win. -
Watching Clemson vs. NCSt at home was somewhat reassuring.HuskiesADW said:A couple of guys losing leverage or their assignment which resulted in a few huge gains for AZ. Turnovers on offense and giving up explosive plays on defense. That's the only way this team is going to lose before January.
Also why I think USC has the best chance of upsetting us?, as they have the playmakers to create those things. Adoree Jackson is a baller that could make a couple plays on balls Browning thinks he can force into a tight window. I'll take our? corners over anybody, but Juju can pop at any time. And Darnold seems like he can make enough plays to extend drives and move the ball a little bit. Really glad we? get them at home. Dawgs should win rather easily, but the upset potential is real.
Other side of that coin is that we should skullfuck the Coug. Their dink and dunk bullshit on offense is a recipe for disaster against this defense. Hoping Azeem finishes the job on Marks. -
Arizona game was always the key to the season. Survive that one... the rest was natural.

Fuck, I want to believe this but Arizona is completely shit tier. They haven't been competitive since the UW game.Dennis_DeYoung said:Arizona game was always the key to the season. Survive that one... the rest was natural.

I can't take all the credit, but Coker and me were convinced of that since spring. It's about us, not them. We had to get over the hump with our confidence.haie said:

Even Pete talked about that after the game. I don't know why it's hard to believe that having confidence is tremendously important. It's one of the first things out of Pete's mouth every time he talks about improvement. -

Looking ahead to Stanford, weren't prepared for Dawkins ability to run, blown field goals, plus a couple fluke plays (Vea won't miss that sack again in his career).
All that and we still won. -
Elite teams dont get taken to OT by 2-5 teams
I thought Zona was better. They fucking suck -
Forgot to add: first road game. First conference game after dreckfest non conference.dnc said:Looking ahead to Stanford, weren't prepared for Dawkins ability to run, blown field goals, plus a couple fluke plays (Vea won't miss that sack again in his career).

Keep in mind, they've lost like 4 QBs and 6 RBs. And that one RB we sidelined looked pretty good.PostGameOrangeSlices said:Elite teams dont get taken to OT by 2-5 teams

This isn't September's Wildcats. -
Pete talked about it before the game as well. Said he wanted to see how the team responded when things weren't going their way. He got his wish, and no doubt that was a confidence builder. Still, Arizona is complete dreck, and it's true, the Huskies left a lot on the table, that happens sometimes, but it doesn't always work out so well.Dennis_DeYoung said:

DDY has been on point about this one. If you can't see winning that game was the lightbulb going off that they can actually win now, then you will never get it. If you're still whining about barely beating AZ you should go DIAF. Shitstomping Standford and Oregon was a direct outcome of that game playing out the way it did.Dennis_DeYoung said:Arizona game was always the key to the season. The 2001 Miami Hurricanes defeated Boston College 18-7, needing a defensive td in the final minute to put the game away.
Counter point- BC went 8-4 and were ranked (like Oregon State).
Counter counter point- THAT WAS THE GREATEST TEAM OF ALL FUCKING TIME.
It's football. Weird shit happens. That terrible Michigan team that lost to Appalachian State won 9 games and beat Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow in their bowl game.
Are you new to college football? -

2004 USC beat a 4-7 Stanford team by only 3 points on the road. Like apag said, this shit happens.

Stanford rushed for 29 yards and we had 70 on Oregon with 10 minutes left in the game. You're a fucking moron if you can't see that we are dominating teams utterly even if they are shitty. We play the teams on our schedule and we push their shit in. HTH.PostGameOrangeSlices said:
