    It's the ugly Nike boutique in UW unis that's turned the in-state kids off. Where's the Purple? Where the fuck is the Gold? Sark's all-white BYU coogloser look is truly a turnoff to anybody and the all-black with heliotrope stripes was....... truly gay.

    Seriously, the best kids aren't stupid about what will best serve their futures as football playing student-athletes and the in-state prospects are too close to the truth of SarkBall. OL recruits are not just the most sought after by the better programs, but as a group, they tend to be the smartest and more difficult to sell on mediocrity.

    Now to be truly serious, if it's getting more difficult each year for instate scholars to gain admittance to the University of Washington in deference to higher tuition paying non-resident scholars, should not the same bias be applied to student athletes.... even though it wouldn't make sense?

    It's kind of the natural progress of things. It's been discussed in an HHB podcast (huh?) regarding Tedford.

    New coach comes in, players like the change, buy into his message, they improve their play, and win more often than they did with the previous coach.

    Coach recruits his own players, players hear the same message over and over again, players start to make fun of coach behind his back, some even do a great job impersonating the coach, players get sick of coach's bullshit - real or perceived, players quit playing for the coach because they can't stand him, coach gets fired.

    Repeat.

    Doesn't matter if they like him or not. Wins are all that matters. If tedford could have ever developed a qb after Rogers he would still be at cal with a statue of himself.

    Agree I don't care if they like him but the Doog perception is the players like Sark just like they supposedly liked Ty even though they didn't.

    Sark is a two faced asshole who also can't coach. He's an embarrassment to our fucking program and should have been fired after 2011, 2012 and now 2013.
