"The Huskies have been such a disorganized mess in recent years that if you're someone who loves to rip on coaches who just roll the balls out and hope that the players will figure it out, Washington games have been something like porn."
It's a really well written article: I cut and pasted the best line from it below, and is the only one you need to know if Romar should still be head coach here:
"Romar is the only Power Five coach to miss each of the past five NCAA tournaments at his current job"
He then goes on to say how few Pac-12 titles/conf. championships he has for being here 15 years, all the years of having 10 or more losses (which means he's a .500 coach in conf as the non-conf. schedule looks like a 4 years birthday with all the cupcakes served up, etc.
If any rational pro-Romar doog read this article, the only ammo they would have on why he's still here is he's a great man off the court or they don't/won't spend the money to buy him out.
Romar's going to "retire" at the end of his contract and will probably make 1-2 NCAA tournaments along the way and underachieve every step of the way ...
But with the deficit in the athletic department it just is what it is at this point until either the contract expires or Romar chooses to walk away

Washington has a top flight football coach and a clown in charge of basketball
Oregon has a clown in charge of football and a top flight coach for basketball

Not sure Peterman could do the same switching to basketball.
Dick Bennett would have been one of those guys fine in either sport. Bob Huggins probably the same.
Urban Meyer seems like he has enough cool factor to be able to be successful in basketball.
