One Thing to not complain about

Exactly right, there wasn't one time where I was disappointed about that.

believe it or not, half the board was bitching about it all game

It was better than normal but still too low against those Arizona midgets.dhdawg said:believe it or not, half the board was bitching about it all game

My bigger issue would be with the types of runs called.TierbsHsotBoobs said:

Especially when the two TE pro style sets were giving me a woody, and big chunks of yards. -
I love everything about those sets except for the faggy shifts.IrishDawg22 said:

That 4th and one was such a bullshit play.
Overall I thought the play calling was ok. Had some serious WTF calls but overall I thought it wasn't one of Smiths worst efforts (still needs to be fired).
I also don't think Brownings play warrants many complaints. Everyone just waits for him to throw a bad pass so they can bitch about how much he sucks. He made some bad throws but he also made some good ones.
I probably have more complaints about the defense than the offense from the game last night. -

You're right to focus on the defense. Giving up 28 to that mess was bad. -
28 points without any special teams or defensive scores or assistance.TierbsHsotBoobs said:

UA's average starting field position was the 21. Their scoring drives were 75, 94, 66 and 75 (plus an 82 yard drive ended on downs.)
They averaged 6.4 yards per play. That is not good defense. -
On Colemans last long TD run; was that an audible or did Smithberries call that straight up?
-
Coleman was a fucking beast last night. Keep it up, kid!
-
I actually thought the OL played their best game of the season so far. Still a lot of room for improvement, but still.
-
I asked this in another thread too but didn't get a clear answer....I thought I remembered Browning changing it up pre-snap...Arizona was certainly convinced that the play was going to our right side...UWerentThereMan said:On Colemans last long TD run; was that an audible or did Smithberries call that straight up?

My only complaint is the run pass ratio

But is it GREAT defense??!FremontTroll said:

I'm still scratching my head over why we thought a defensive line with three 300+ pounders was a good scheme for a spread offense. I don't care if they move well for fat guys, you need to get a faster DL package in there to matchup with a team like Arizona.FremontTroll said:

It's always hard to say because there's changing the play and then there's changing blocking scheme ... Browning got us into a few strong plays last night ... another improvement vs last yearFremontTroll said:

Any idea when Jakes testicles are going to drop so he can get enough bass in his voice to quit the clapper?

Seem to struggle against that type of QB.FremontTroll said:

The good thing is the conference does not have as many running QB's. Dawkins is about the only one. I haven't seen ASU's QB, but it's nothing like it was a few years ago with Mariota, Hundley, etc.GreenRiverGatorz said:

I read an article on Texas A&M today and thought of how big of a loss Daeshon Hall was. He would have been perfect at Buck.
-
Missed tackles were huge. Psalm is weakness that AZ schemed against. Most of those drives in 1H included a missed tackle by Psalm. Awful awful play.

you needed to read an article to think that?RoadDawg55 said:I read an article on Texas A&M today and thought of how big of a loss Daeshon Hall was. He would have been perfect at Buck.

That's the one I'm worried about. He's also a much better thrower than Dawkins.RoadDawg55 said:

ASUs QB Wilkins is very mobile, he's on par with DawkinsRoadDawg55 said:

THIS. Too many predictable delay handoffs where AZ's LBs camped out & caught our RBs at or behind the line of scrimmage. Speed it up with dives where RBs hit the hole hard and the LBs can tackle from the side or behind. 3 to 5 yards instead of 0 or 1. More Smiff fuckery trying to be too clever.Mad_Son said:

Almost turned the game off after the first 2 shit calls on UW's first series where two fucked up shit calls in a row couldn't produce a first down after 2nd and 2 if I recall it right. Complicated, mistake prone BS on the first drive. Had a sick feeling after that drive, but fortunately Ross's tightrope walk down the sideline cured it, temporarily, until VW started missing his field goals. Fuck.
