Taylor Rapp 2016, Junior Year Highlights

UW offered towards the start of the year; Arizona State, Oregon and Boise followed shortly after.
Really like what I saw. Excellent hips. He could be a big SS for us, or maybe move down to LB'er if he isn't fast enough. Good player, would love to get him on board.

Exquisite hips, and he really keeps his head on a swivel.
Love the name too. Would love to get T-Shirts with "Rapp Culture" on them. -
He's going to UW. ;-) or whatever the official winky face is.
-
Rapp could be one of these 3* guys that becomes an all conference player. The type of recruit that wouldn't bring the sizzle that the Lemon Party trio loves but is a damn solid pickup.
-
3 things stand out to me:
1) He seems to see the field very well and the game never looks too fast for him - that's one of the first things I look for when evaluating a player
2) He clearly loves to hit and hits hard
3) You look at how he uses his leverage in situations and you can see that not only has he been well coached, but he also listens to the coaching.
The kind of solid player you want in a program. -
Bump... Mostly because I think he commits in the next two months... @biak1 seems to be dialed in on this one.
I think he is a potential three year type starter. Love, love, love his film. -
Gonna need to ask @RoadDawg55 if signing an Asian-American player is acceptable.

I realize that this isn't the NBA ... but still ... -
I'm too young to have seen Shane Pahukoa's HS film, but you'd have to imagine it would look almost exactly like this.
Rapp takes great angles, explodes into the ball carrier (THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!), then "Rapp's" up.
In his honor, here's my Taylor "Rap". 16 Hot DeYoung bars. #barzfordays #hiphopcrazy
Here is my verse about the Rapp, Taylor
HS film is fire like a show by Norm Mailer
his angle game is kicking like his name was Chris Sailer
I lived on Nolia for a while, just right off of Galer
Tay plays with the passion of an Asian Assassin
Jeremy Lin of the Bell, outclassin'
All the children of the slow white hippies
moves with the ball a trip G, but without it he's still zippy
Lining up the lanes, using brains 'cause he's asian
his dad will be mad if his grades ain't blazin'
chem/math major with a bio minor
quick to the ball, but def a long-strider
when the ball is in the air, he's a rocket not a turd
I would never blame a kid like this for going to the 'Furd
but Pete will take a seat, explain the whole plan
and his dad will yell at Tay and say, "listen to this man!" -
With a name like Rape, shouldn't he be going to Oregon?

my favorite play is at the 1:37 mark. It is basically textbook from start to finish, and when you watch the video's from UW spring ball and fall camp you will see them do drills that he does on the play. He chops his feet when the ball carrier gets the ball (meaning, he doesn't go full speed and lose his mind and miss a tackle *John Timu). He leverages perfectly, he hits low at the thighs and brings his arms and wraps up the legs. It is picture perfect.
I am in love. -
Hadn't watched until now. He's a player.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:my favorite play is at the 1:37 mark. Cursing isn't allowed here but NAMBLA lust is?CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:my favorite play is at the 1:37 mark. I would normally say no, but the edgy players might need some help with their homework. Rapp could be useful helping some of the players get some Asian girls (I'm being PG on this board, thanks Stalin).doogsinparadise said:Gonna need to ask @RoadDawg55 if signing an Asian-American player is acceptable.

STAY AWAY FROM HIM STANFORD!

I never fault the kids for choosing a Stanford education.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:STAY AWAY FROM HIM STANFORD!

I'm feeling confident that between the two choices ofCokeGreaterThanPepsi said:STAY AWAY FROM HIM STANFORD!
and
that Rapp will make the right decision. -
I'm hearing that Butler Cabin has taken a minute away from preparing for the Masters to make a comment on Rapp + Stanford
-
Looks like he just committed!

Can't blame a kid for choosing Stanford..... Huh? UW? ..... Adios SieteDennis_DeYoung said:Looks like he just committed!

My favorite part of this commitment can be found at 1:36 of his highlight video: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2004983/highlights/204261379/v2
If anyone knows tackling, this is textbook. It shows he's intelligent and coachable. He's going to be a great player for us someday. -
That's my favorite one too, he controls himself, takes the angle, doesn't cross his feet and perfect form tackle. Glad you noticed that!whatshouldicareabout said:My favorite part of this commitment can be found at 1:36 of his highlight video: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2004983/highlights/204261379/v2

You said that he'd be a 3 year starter ...
So either he's leaving after his junior year or you were thinking he was going to be a starter in 2017. -
He asked me to prove I said I love him first. I proved I said I loved him first.Tequilla said:
