I doubt many people will like or care about this because you're all fags and this site is shit, but whatever. I am bored. Sitting in a parking lot in the Orkin van eating some Chik-fil-a and wasting time until I can start the weekend. @dnc and his Old Man music offering for the day got me to thinking about all the concerts I went to as a young pup, and how fucking crazy I was for all things metal. So anyway, this is it fags. And if you disagree, you are wrong. I have been to more metal shows than anyone on this board and it isn't close. Songs starting in the early 70's, and going to mid 90's. Fuck off after that. But I do love me some Soil.

I present, the evolution of metal in sound.

I should also note I have seen all of these bands live (some many times) except Sabbath (but I did see Ozzy) and Rainbow (but I did see Dio). The 80's kicked ass.

Metal fans are like those douches that drive jacked up 4x4 pickups with TruckNutz on the trailer hitch.

    Try hard, wannabe tough guys.

Shut up jazz fag. I'll beat you to death with my truck nuts.
If we are bashing jazz, I'm fucking out.

REAL metal fans know that the roots of metal are based in the blues/jazz.

Show some fucking respect, you animals.

Oh, and I left tons of great bands out that I love. I did say "brief" history of metal. Mastadon, AC/DC (more hard rock than metal), Judas Priest, Death, Opeth, Machine Head, Deep Purple, Rammstein, etc., etc., etc. I would have been on Youtube an hour finding all that shit and I am lazy.

I guess I'm just sick of it after hearing it for the 8,000,000th time, but still a classic tune

Yeah, I figured I needed to go with a classic after picking Battery instead of One and Hangar 18 instead of Peace Sells...

One is a bit played out, Battery is an all time masterpiece. I approve the choice.

Au contraire, some of my best friends are try hard wannabe tough guys. No triggers here. Just need to know that when they get in too deep with their mouths, I have to be ready to save their asses.

Yeah I love One, but it doesn't even make my top 5 Metallica songs. Hell, I don't even think it is the best song on Justice.

    1) Battery
    2) Blackened
    3) Master
    4) Creeping Death
    5) Bells

The 80's were all about getting drunk, and getting laid.

Skip ahead to about the 1:00 mark if you don't like slow intros

It is a bit more in the bucket that includes Helmet, Fugazi, and Quicksand, so worth a listen if you like that part of the genre.
