Then Pete and Smith, trying to balance out the run/pass ratio, take the ball from Gaskin and Coleman, putting it in Browning's hands. Unable to get the passing game going, UW on its next three series goes 3 and out. Arizona scores just before half, cutting the lead to six.


After the half UW comes out flat. Arizona rips off two quick scores. Smith, trying to the field east and west, goes with a jet sweep to McCluckins that gets stuffed. Next: bubble screen, good two yards, bringing up 3rd & 8.
