The Arizona/ Arizona State Away Game Script: UW, through a strong run game, opens up a 13 pt lead, midway through the second quarter, dominating time of possession. Then Pete and Smith, trying to balance out the run/pass ratio, take the ball from Gaskin and Coleman, putting it in Browning's hands. Unable to get the passing game going, UW on its next three series goes 3 and out. Arizona scores just before half, cutting the lead to six.
After the half UW comes out flat. Arizona rips off two quick scores. Smith, trying to the field east and west, goes with a jet sweep to McCluckins that gets stuffed. Next: bubble screen, good two yards, bringing up 3rd & 8.
Anticipating Arizona will play a 7/8 man, Smith dials up a Sluggo for John Ross. Arizona, knowing Pete and Smith are Fucktards, show a heavy pre-snap front but drop into a 4 deep coverage. Confused Browning hesitates and throws into double coverage - Arizona intercepts. Scenario 2: Browning, waiting for Ross to get behind the Arizona safeties, is sacked and fumbles. Arizona ball.
Arizona scores quick, opening up a three score lead. UW tries to answer with intermediate and go routes, looking for a quick score but instead go 3 and out. On 4th and 3 on their own 42, Peterman calls a fake punt. UW's outside gunner gets behind Arizonas outside defenders but the Swede overshoots the wide open player, mgiving Arizona the ball at Washington's 42.
The replay shows if the Swede kept running he had nothing but green in front of him. An antimated Peterman drops an F-bomb caught by the camera man. As Lindquist comes to the sideline, Peterman thrusts his right arm forward, his fingers outstretched, emphasizing the Swede should have tucked and run.
Washington's vaunted Deathrow Defense, sapped by the desert heat gets boat raced in the 4th quarter. Post game, Pete clutching his plastic water bottle shakes his head at the press table. "That's hard," a visibly exhausted Peterman exclaims. "Our guys learned something. Not taking anything away from that Arizona team. It's hard to win down in the desert. A few of those plays go our way and it's a different game."
Then Stanford will beat us like 30-14 and we will give up. Oregon plunger comes out and we struggle to get to 7 wins.
Throwing 65 times against us while up by 21 points was special.
and smith is still the OC.
but how is the season already over?
Do you guys really think Smith is calling the plays this year?
My bud @Tequilla hinted at this same bullshit. Is Petersen calling the plays now? Is Jeff fucking Tedford? It's all supposition until proven otherwise. If such a power play went down, why retain Smith at all?

Or is Browning cerebral enough to run the show from the huddle. He's like another coach on the field already.
