Mora is a Dawg through and through. He has personal ties to the community that far out weigh any downgrade factors.TierbsHsotBoobs said:
UW could afford him if it wanted too.LevelPar said:

The question is why would Mora downgrade?
However, Emmert and Woodward treated him like a joke years ago and there's a significant portion of the fanbase that doesn't appreciate and respect what he's done.
The best hope for Mora is that UCLA goes cheap if and when UW ever comes calling. -

The hatred those fags ($75k) have for an actual UW alumnus is amazing.bananasnblondes said:Mora and UCLA are more hated over on doogman than the Ducks and Wazzu combined. There was a nice thread the other day on how Hundley was a gift from Rick and is the only reason why UCLA is doing well

I'm not familiar with all the ins and outs of this. Care to share more information?TierbsHsotBoobs said:

You think they hate him now wait until all those true frosh linemen that are already good are seniors. UCLA wins two rose bowls before Sark wins 10 games but that's okay but Sark is building it the right way. After all it took Oregon 20 years to build their program so it's no unreasonable for Sark to need 10-15 to rebuild ours.

Yes and no. For a head coach you are correct. If they decided on Sark they didn't need to pay him big money. He is near the top if not the top paid coach in the conference right now. UW has opened the check book and set a standard for the pay of their assistant coaches that few teams in the conference can match. The new TV deal should make a difference in the hiring of a new football coach as well.TierbsHsotBoobs said:
UW hasn't spent big money for a new coach since Rick.AtomicDawg said:usually UW pays more for a coach or has shown it's willing to in the past. Not sure what would happen this time. Just sayin
I think the money is there to hire a good coach this time should sark be gone. THey need to get their next hire right as there is a lot of debt on the line this time. The program was not as attractive when they hired Ty and Sark as it would be should sark leave or get canned after this year. People worth a higher salary might listen this time.
Now I am just getting my hopes up. I need to step away and get some perspective. -
That's why we couldn't get him 5 years ago. He had a CONTRACT!! And he still does.LevelPar said:

It's true UW is the only school in America who can't hire a coach who has a CONTRACT!MikeDamone said:

Doogs always tell me "Woodward tried with Mora but he had a CONTRACT!". -
I would bet any amount of money that if Mora was hired at UW in January we would be looking at the best recruiting class of the last 10 years on signing day. Its pretty much the only chance we would have with Buddha Baker
