    Don't get this.

Doesn't help with Independents, and doesn't help with a critical state in the electoral math.

But how is this an awful pick?

it helps "sure up" the base that already nominated him.
trump has a path towards winning this election, going ultra conservative and theocratic is not a part of it

Yes. Trump has survived being portrayed as the KKK ring leader... But Pence is the reason why he will lose... Lol.

that's also not my point even.
no one who is already voting for trump is gonna flip because of this. however he's gonna need a lot more support to win, and a lot of it will need to be crossover.
no one is interested in bible thumpers anymore outside of states that would go republican either way. If he doubles down on corruption, trade and immigration, he will win. if he decides to go the social conservativism route, he'll lose by double digits

Losing to Obama in 2012 is pretty bad in terms of campaign. Everyone hates him but still think he's better than you.

What do you think when the article calling someone a liar is lying about calling someone a liar?

    Catch my drift?
You can go blind doing that.

The traditional base didn't nominate him...he's got the Reagan democrats and people who normally sit out wrapped up. He gets enough of the traditional base and he's home free.
