The other problem with this hire (as I see it) is that with the status quo being painfully obvious here, she's not in a position where she's a) close to retiring and b) because this is her dream job, she's not leaving here to go elsewhere. So should things go literally tits up in the AD for whatever reason, are the people above Cohen prepared to fire her if required?

Football is king ... but at the same time, with Pete at the controls things are moving just fine. Her job is to not fuck that relationship up.

Over the next 18-24 months, she will be judged on how she's able to (in no particular order):

    1) Handle the Romar underperformance

    2) Influence marketing --> tied directly into football

    3) Turn around the budget issues in the AD --> tied into better marketing and football performance

    They are?
    Ask me in November

Is that after the Oregon game?

If you told me UW finished 8-1 in conference this year, won the North, but lost to Oregon, I'd have no problem with that.

I think she listens to the boosters, at least the ones who don't have their heads up their backsides.

The biggest positive, as a few others have mentioned, is that the Husky Football is in good shape and a good season (9 regular season wins) or more will help with the attendance. Winning cures a lot of things.

Romar obviously gets another year but from what I've gathered, the b-ball boosters are somewhat complacent and may be ok with Romar coaching out his contract. I don't know how much say Cohen would have if a decision had to be made before his contract is up anyway. I hope I'm wrong about the b-ball boosters because having a white guy named Leon for a coach would be amusing
