Although I think this team (and agree Dipoto > Z) is a lot better than the 2009 team, there are a lot of parallels between the two GM's first seasons. Jack Z started off with the same general philosophy: pitching, defense, speed. I think the 2009 team won 85+ games. It's sad that it's June 3rd and this is the first meaningful division series in 10 years or so, but it is what it is. The season could be over by Sunday or the mariners could be somebody. Let's find out -
