Jen Cohen...gets it?

UW averaged 61,919 fans per home football game last season, down from 64,508 in 2014 and 68,769 in 2013, the year the new stadium opened. Improving attendance in 2016 is one of the department’s biggest priorities. “Our gate is not where it needs to be in football,” Cohen said. “Our ability to fill this stadium is the single-most important thing we can do for all of our programs to be successful. So that is my job, 24/7, is to be thinking about that, focusing on that, and certainly if we could improve that situation over the course of the next couple years, our financial outlook will look different than it looks today.”Story.

I have zero trust Jen Cohen gets anything other than a dozen maple bars from QFC every morning. Win games. Stop playing shitty OOC games. Close the zone. Shit I could do this job and I'm borderline incompetent (circa @RaceBannon 2012)

Holy fuck, that's pathetic. I thought Cal was bad at this, but *Jake*TTJ said:PM to Jen: Start by fixing this.
(Actually, Cal's getting better at it; sure, there are games against the Idaho States and Weber States mixed in, but Cal plays Texas next year, UNC and Ole Miss in 2017, UNC in 2018, Ole Miss in 2019, TCU and Auburn in 2020, and TCU and Auburn again in 2021) -

Really going out on a ledge promising to think about ticket sales

Cohen and Woodward traded brain cells on the whole "hot ticket" bullshit of Spring 2010.
Emmett=Woodward=Cohen, which in turn =TyGilbySarkingMen -
Win the conference, meaningful bowl games and challenge SEC knuckle draggers. Husky Stadium will be overflowing. Simple fucking formula.

What are you whiners complaining about? Just shell out your 5 grand for season tickets and realize we're lucky any team wants to play us at all. It's hard, man. I mean who would possibly want to come here?!11!?111!? That future schedule looks about right. If you can get a home game with a power5 team twice every six years, you're obviously doing something right. It's not like Rutgers will take a home/home with just anybody!11!!!!11!!
*Reading our OOC schedule through 2021 proves to me that Sark really did want to be here for a long time but was given a little nudge. I don't know why but I can vividly picture him begging pool boy for the easiest possible opponents he can find. Gets a call back a couple hours later. "Hello?" "Yeah Sark, I got this penciled in but I have to get back to Portland State by tomorrow. So how does this sound...Rutgers. Idaho. Portland State. All at home? That was the best I could do, man." -
If only some half brains had predicted Marinerization of the program more than a decade ago...
-
wonder how many tickets the Chinese kids buy? ...and how much they donate/sponsor the program after they gwaguate?

I know Tommy is drunk but Cal beat Texas in Austin last year.

If I was AD, Messico would be paying for that stadium and a big ass Don James statue at the entrance.

Has she been given the job already officially because she's speaking like she has. If UW is still trying to put on the illusion of a search, but letting her make comments like that, I'm surprised that I'm surprised. -

The "search" has always been an illusion. That's the Udub model these days. Same as it ever was. -
And even if the illusion wasn't real and they were actually conducting a legit search, not only as interim AD, but in her prior capacity her focus was based on the football side of the ledger. So her comments aren't out of bounds from that side of things regardless of what viewpoint she's using.
