UW averaged 61,919 fans per home football game last season, down from 64,508 in 2014 and 68,769 in 2013, the year the new stadium opened. Improving attendance in 2016 is one of the department’s biggest priorities. “Our gate is not where it needs to be in football,” Cohen said. “Our ability to fill this stadium is the single-most important thing we can do for all of our programs to be successful. So that is my job, 24/7, is to be thinking about that, focusing on that, and certainly if we could improve that situation over the course of the next couple years, our financial outlook will look different than it looks today.”Story.

(Actually, Cal's getting better at it; sure, there are games against the Idaho States and Weber States mixed in, but Cal plays Texas next year, UNC and Ole Miss in 2017, UNC in 2018, Ole Miss in 2019, TCU and Auburn in 2020, and TCU and Auburn again in 2021)

*Reading our OOC schedule through 2021 proves to me that Sark really did want to be here for a long time but was given a little nudge. I don't know why but I can vividly picture him begging pool boy for the easiest possible opponents he can find. Gets a call back a couple hours later. "Hello?"
