    Berkeley is a disgusting shit hole sandwiched in-between Oakland and Richmond; which are also shit holes. If you're able to spare a day, Angel Island is a hidden gem. Awesome, easy hiking on an island that was used during every major US war. Incredible views of the Golden Gate and Bay Bridge.

    I like Berkeley as a college town and had a lot of fun getting fucked up on Durant street with my Cal buddies. Just be careful, once someone gets a baggie you'll end up at the Oaks club casino at 3am half blacked out bluffing legitimate gangsters out of pots and needing armed security escort to leave. They do not fuck around there.
