Romar is too good of a recruiter to be successful. You can't expect to win with players that are good enough to get drafted.

Guys, this day and age it is extremely difficult to win with two players who will be picked in the lottery. Some of you guys just don't get it. You need to dig a little deeper.

If the guys are leaving after 1 year and he's still not making the tournament ... I can't think of a bigger indictment of him as a coach

If that happens, the only excuse pro-Romar guys could use would be that if you fire him, the kid from Maryland might not come.
But could you honestly defend keeping him for one guy? If yes, then there is nothing Lorenzo could do that would get him terminated in your mind.
His community college pre-season schedule, along with the below average Pac-12 conference in general gets him minimum 12-14 wins a year so it doesn't take much more for him to be over .500 any year, which is just enough for the Pro Romar guys to sing the same tune of "we're close, wait to next year, quit focusing on the past, so what we've missed the tourney the last xxx years, can't you see how good the future looks" -

What about them didn't you like? The game that I saw, they had size and athleticism, and I was most impressed with their discipline and patience. They continuously passed up on taking an okay shot to get a great shot. I walked away from there thinking that they would definitely repeat as champs and they did.ThomasFremont said:

Murray will be fine. He's not even close to ready, but being around the Seattle NBA players will help him once he's there. I could see Chriss going pro maybe after his junior year, but he has nothing special to offer the NBA right now. Murray needs at least another year too - he's too slight.
