If Timmons can shoot that should alleviate some of chavez's legitimate concerns about him clogging the lane offensively. I'm skeptical, but somewhat hopeful. We'll see.

I'm am guardedly optimistic. He's slow, but he appears to have some raw skill. The biggest concern isnt whether this guy is any good, it's if LoRo has any idea what to do with him. One of our worst teams in the last 10 years had Spencer Hawes on it. A stagnant half court POS we were on offense. We were nearly unwatchable and he had a great year individually. And this guy isn't Spencer Hawes.

Doogs everywhere. He sucks. Even if he was OK, Romar is the last coach in the world to develop him.

Two facts lead me to believe that Timmons will be nothing more than a spot-duty role player during his time at the UW (and I hope I'm wrong):

    1. UW has spent this season playing a defensive style that will in no way fit what Timmons supposedly brings to the table next season. I'm not sure why the UW would spend a season playing a defensive system that will have to change if Timmons is expected to play meaningful minutes next season.

    2. Timmons has been here for most of the meaningful part of THIS season and has been eligible to play. If he was good enough to bang and give the UW some semi-effective presence in the middle, he'd already have hit the floor, especially given the fact that UW bigs foul at a historic rate.

There was always 0% chance he'd play. He didn't get here until the new year, then he has to learn and get a hang on whatever lackluster schemes and plays Romar runs (which the rest of the team had several months to do). Even if he got the schemes down and was good enough to play, there's no point in burning the redshirt that late into the season.

Fuck, I pictured a college Andrew Bogut. I actually bought the hype with this guy. A 6'10" Peja Drobniak that can occasionally hit a 3 doesn't excite me. I wanted a big mean Bogut or skilled Aaron Baynes.

I hate this kid because he's white.

I played rugby in Aus/New Zealand and while they're beasts on the "pitch" they're complete shit on the hardwood.

Zero instincts or sense of the game. The average Tequilla American can setup a zone in a pickup game and run the floor. I'm only 6' and was fucking their post men up with simple up and unders.

The point is I'd be very cautious about anybody coming out of NZ, especially a 6'11 guy who most likely had zero competition.

Being white is a huge draw back for this kid, but maybe he will find his inner rage and dominate after taking a few lines.

Nothing about his jumper in the grainy videos I've seen show anything other than a tall kid playing against shit competition. I didn't see a jumper at all
