Michigan plungered Florida. The fumbled punt by Michigan fucked up the proper Big 10 ranking.dongman said:Is total fucking trash. Iowa playing in lead shoes.

Well to be fair, Florida is garbage too. If your offense can score 17 points you automatically win. Utah could beat Florida.
-
Big 10 is not trash. The division Iowa is in is trash though. That other division is TUFF.

Wisconsin and Nebraska both fucked up the only meaningful teams in the Loaded© Pac-12 South©dnc said:Big 10 is not trash. The division Iowa is in is trash though. That other division is TUFF.

It all went downhill after the Hoosiers lost to Duke in the Yankee Bowl.

The Big 10 has 1.5 ~ 2 very good teams just like every league every year.

Usually true, but the #2 team from the SEC just got boatraced by the #4 team in the B1G. Is it a very good B1G or a really shitty SEC?MikeSeaver said:dnc said:Big 10 is not trash. The division Iowa is in is trash though. That other division is TUFF.

Florida isn't 2nd in the SEC

I agree, but I think Michigan beats any SEC team not coached by Saban this year.RaceBannon said:Florida isn't 2nd in the SEC

And therein lies the fallacy of conference "championship" games. They very rarely feature the top two teams in any given conference. Florida wasn't close to the #2 team in the SEC.HuskyInAZ said:

Agree, but I don't really have a problem with it. Split it into two divisions, each division gets a rep, whoever wins wins the conference. It's not a perfect system by any means but it's better than what the Big 12 did last year.Southerndawg said:

The two Michigan teams and Ohio State are good ball clubs. The B1G has improved a great deal with some great coaches.HelfrichFamilyVan said:

Nope, I don't. Just like to fire up the SEC gurglers. But what other team in the SEC would give Michigan or Ohio State a good game, other than Alabama?dnc said:

LSU would give Michigan a game, but I'd probably take Michigan in it. Otherwise, you're right. But I'd take either of the Mississippi's or Tennessee or even Jenga to give Michigan a better game than Florida did. Florida was fucking awful the second half of the season. Michigan got the best combination of ranked opponent + name opponent + shit opponent any team could axe for.HuskyInAZ said:

When are people going to realize the Big10 is a basketball conference? The blacks don't like cold so they stay inside in the north and hoop. The slow fat white guys in the Midwest play football.

So you're saying they should do away with divisions and just go off straight records?Southerndawg said:

If there was round robin play, that would not be a bad way to go (base on conference record with logical tie breakers). The problem with the current conference "championship" model is that it's nearly impossible to balance the divisions in a way that pairs #1 and #2 in the conference title game. Most seasons, the power tends to be bunched up in one division.topdawgnc said:

Who's number 2 in the SEC then? LSU?
SEC had one really good team this year. Even they have been owned by Ole Miss lately.

Michigan State likely won't make another playoff in the next 50 years and certainly will never win one. -
Pedo State and Nebraska both have the potential to do something at some point if they hire the right corch. Penn State particularly.FremontTroll said:

Iowa missed Michigan/Sparty/OSU/Penn state this year. The schedule gods threw them the all time bone and they capitalized on it.
Ohio State being lackluster most of the season helped pull Michigan State and Iowa up in the eyes of the experts. Both were exposed in their bowls.
