Approaching Sven-level annoyance mang. I get it, no really I get that individual awards should only be celebrated by winners. But really, wgaf, I'm not going to die on that hill if someone wants to talk about it. It was one thread, unlike the 23 threads about the DL.

I get it. It's not cool to celebrate individual awards when the team kind of sucks. I look at it as a positive sign. -
What is UW's record if Gaskin doesn't run for 1100 and 10?? We don't make a fucking bowl game if he doesn't play as well as he did. D Washington + Coleman + Cooper combined doesn't even come close to type of production Gaskin put up as a true freshman. He was the 8th best running back in the fucking country (better than Derrick Henry) and if you can't get excited about that then I don't see why you even watch the games.
No one is happy with 6-6. But it's a hell of a lot worse without Gaskin.
When was the last time we had a local kid put up those type of #'s? Let alone as a true freshman. Our skill players have sucked ass from the state of Washington outside of Sankey and Gaskin was insane this year. Remember when everyone hyped up Paul Arnold? Gaskin blows him out of the water.
My buddy works in the athletic department for O'dea and told me Gaskin was gone before Petersen came into the picture. First thing Chris Petersen did once he was hired was went straight to O'dea and introduced himself to the entire faculty. He left a lasting impression to say the least. Complete 180 from the previous fucktard coaches we've had. He was 100% going to ASU before Petersen was hired.
When you watch him on film he pops and the numbers don't lie. Second in the country in missed tackles forced, third in elusive rating and 3.65 yards after contact for true freshman. Not too shaby for a kid who wasn't given the luxury of a redshirt season. He's special and if you can't see that you don't know football. -

Yeah it's obvious to anyone watching that he is good. Duh. The point is we went 6-6 and I don't fucking care who was good on a mediocre team when it's a team game.
