Mike Leach's name was a source of ridicule and derision on here back in September. Now he's a front runner for Pac-12 Coach of the Year.

It only took him 5 years to find a running game.

And he still doesn't know what defense is...

Willingham was national coach of the year. Enough said on that.

AND also Sportsman of the Year. Enough said about that.

Leach turns the worst D1 programs, in the most backwater recruiting wastelands (Lubbock, Pullman), into winners.

No, he is never going to go undefeated. Who fucking would?

He runs a passing offense that actually works (fuck you Smith) and wins games.

He is a good, imperfect coach.

To say otherwise is fucking Doog fucking stupid.

In 14 years as an HC Leach is 59-55 in conference. And Texas Tech didn't suck any worse before he took it over than it did his first four years there so spare me the grading on a curve bullshit.

He is mediocre as hell. But nice to see you still beat off for him.
And even if you put him at a program with more built in advantages, he probably only ups that conference mark to 65-49. About a game a year better I would guess. A one game above .500 conference record, versus .500. Still small time.

We need to find a real fucking coach.

I have to wonder if Leach jumps ship this year. When he was hired it was rumored that he would take his first opportunity to get the hell out of the there.

Leach is staying in Pullman. Cook it.

I don't understand why people are looking to Leach as the sign of a good coach all of a sudden, he still sucks, like @dnc said.

I'm in the minority, but I've never looked at Leach as a horrible coach.
Nor can anyone with any sanity compare Sark to Peterman - not yet anyway.

Again, if Sark was such a shitty recruiter and didn't even recruit his last season, why aren't we commending Peterman for being so improved so quickly?

You can compare - Sark had a better record than Petersen does.
