I'd take a chance on an up-and-cummer, do a respectable job of evaluating him in his first season, and maybe give him a second season if I think it's warranted. If by the end of season 2 we are experiencing plunger rapes and questionable coaching decisions, while only showing flashes of brilliance (which basically just means that the players and coaches are capable of good things, but just not on a consistent basis), then he gets fired and I would hire the next up-and-cummer.
