That was then, this is now.
It was a good hire. I tend to agree with APAG that Sark was a good hire. But the hire is only the start. Then they have to coach.
Short of UW being serious enough to pay and lure a sure thing here, of which there is only a handful anyway, you have to go with what is available.
UW's problem is not firing fast enough. In the real world I would give Petermen year 3 because there are too many schools looking for a coach this year. But it would be championship or bust next year.
If we had hired Jim McElvaine most of us would have ripped the hire. -
Hire was good, you couldn't really do any better with what was available at the time.
Win in year 3, or go fuck yourself. -
