This team will grow as Jake grows. Simple fact. Defense is good enough right now for a 10 win season. Jake looking better and better. Be patient.

There is progress from a player development perspective. I also think Pete and co., do a good job in evaluating recruits.
That said Pete/Smith do some questionable stuff on offense.
Like:
Running the double reverse to the short side of the field when you are basically in the red zone. I hate the double reverses or reverses in general (almost as much as the bubble screens). I would rather see them run up the middle at least there is a good chance we can gain 3-5 yards and make it 2nd and a manageable 5-7 yards to go.
Also that Swede package. SMH. Everytime we had some sort of momentum here comes the SWEDE on 1st and 10 and runs a predictable run up the middle for no gain. Now it is 2nd and 10....with this offense that is basically a 3 and out...
The only time Browning should be taken out at QB is when Gaskin is in the wildcat or we are up by seven TD's (I will give Smith/Pete/whomever came up with that some credit).
Ah well at least there are some positives with Pete. I always stick with year 3 as the breaking point. Pete win 10+ games next year or GTFO. -

I'm hearing that having standards is hard. We're really close, but trying to enact responsibility is just really tough.

We aren't getting blown out as much or as badly. Apparently that makes up for 4-5.
