Petersen Pissed Away the Utah Game, but he won't Admit it

Washington's loss to Utah reveals a startling level of incompetence on the offensive side of the football.

Nail on the head. Great poonts.
If you coach at Washington, you need to be run first.
I want to puke when he talks about Dawg weather. He is a fucking pass happy faggot who practices indoors when it rains.
It's fucking startling incompetence. I hate offense first/pass first fag coaches.
Whittingham outclassed Pete by simply doing the thing that made sense.
Fuck. I hate Pete's fucking bullshit.
Everyone on this bored knew: RUN THE BALL 30 TIMES TO GASKIN AND YOU WIN.
How could Pete not know that? It's not that he doesn't know it, it's just that he feels no pressure to win, doesn't give a fuck about stealing money from our fans and wants to prove he's right more than he wants to prove he knows how to win.
It's a fucking joke. FMFYFE. -
I've always maintained that our pass-first offense would be special in November in DAWG weather.
-
So I don't get to watch full gaymes very often because I just won't stay up until 2am EST to watch our shitty coaches lose. But I watched the whole game yesterday.
I coach my 10 year old daughter's soccer team. (pedobear.gif) It's Rec soccer, lowest league there is. The objective of the league is clearly stated to encourage team play, exercise, soccer skill development and to have fun. At least they keep score, but there is no champion declared on anything.
I have to play each girl at least half the game. The slow, overweight, never played before girl has to play 50% of the game, even if it comes at the expense of more playing time for girls with some actual soccer/athletic skills. I have 2-3 that are complete liabilities because they are slow and spend most of their time on the field standing around and watching. They cost us 3 goals yesterday. But they have to play.
Watching my* Huskies I felt like Lindquist, Coleman and Washington were my slow girls who shouldn't be playing.
EVERY PLAYER DOES NOT HAVE TO PLAY IN DIVISION 1 POWER CONFERENCE FOOTBALL. THERE IS NO PLAYING TIME REQUIREMENT FOR EACH OF THEM. THE OBJECTIVE OF PAC 12 FOOTBALL IS NOT TO MAKE THE PLAYERS FEEL GOOD ABOUT THEMSELVES. PUT THEIR ASSES ON THE BENCH AND KEEP THEM THERE. -
Losers lose. Petersen is a loser
The End -
That fucking offense. Fuck.
-
Technically solid piece, DJ. You nailed it. Pete gave that one away, but he's either to stubborn to admit it or too stupid to realize it.
-
Petersen is a fucking yeast infection.

I'm sorry, but that's a game Washington should have easily won.

Don James was sub .500 in year two!!!!!!!1!1!1

Come on fellas, Pusserman is just a generous guy. Can you not see that?

Sorry, @DerekJohnson, but this is your worst fucking effort.
Blaming Peterman for starting Dwayne Warshington in the rain is like blaming him for giving the ball to Cooper at the end of the game in Tucson last year. Fucktarded 20/20 hindsight.
Peterman abhors turnovers. He's obsessed with ball security. In a wet weather game, he decided to give the start to his most experienced back, instead of his true frosh. It is utterly rational to build your gameplan around trusting your veteran to take care of the ball. And as soon as it became apparent that DWarsh wasn't up to the task, he made a change.
Twisting this around as confirmation of Peterman's "incompetence" requires a toxic mix of butthurt, confirmation bias, and hindsight logic. You're better than this. -

Great terrorist bomb as always. Washington has a well documented fumbling problem. Starting him shows Petersen is anything but obsessed about turn oversTTJ said:Sorry, @DerekJohnson, but this is your worst fucking effort.

1. Are you Lee Corso
2. Giving the ball to Cooper at the end of the game WAS his fucking fault. If anyone, with the slightest bit of knowledge, had to run out the clock... we could have done it without crossing the fucking LOS.
So, I can't tell if joking and actually serious, but Pusserman is horrible at coaching. He is football's Romar. "We just need huge talent to win" (No, you just need to be something of a fucking coherent coach to manage a game and plays)TTJ said:

Who knows the reason(s) that Washington started over Gaskin ...
Personally, starting or not at the RB position doesn't matter to me. We needed both RBs to be productive last night. To me, there's some minor pressing in worrying about who is or isn't starting at that point since we don't rely on our lead RB to carry the ball 35 times in a game.
Also, I think that there's some stretching to say that Browning is struggling. He made a number of good throws last night, was very strong last weekend against Arizona, and had how many passes just flat out dropped last night? While running the ball on Utah is necessary, the reality is that the teams that have been successful on Utah this year have been able to get chunk plays in the passing game. With the single safety look that they were giving for most of the game, I don't have a general problem with Browning being asked to throw the ball.
Couple other points:
1) It never struck me as a monsoon out on the field. It was most definitely raining ... but it never looked to me like it was raining to the point that you couldn't throw the ball.
2) When you cited what Washington did to end the first half and then noting that Utah fucked up the opportunity that they had, you could/should have also noted that there were about 20 seconds left on the clock for Washington on the 37 with 2 timeouts. There was a very decent wind swirling towards the open end that 2 reasonable intermediate throws would have given Van Winkle a shot at picking up 3 to end the half. The fact that we took a knee there was a massive mangina play in my mind. -
I don't care one way or the other. I was entertained and had quite a few good belly laughs as the game played out.

The butthurt is strong in this bored. As is the fact-hatred.
Bidness as usual on the day after a loss, I guess.
And yes, expecting your 4th year junior to take better care of the ball than your 1st year frosh is the smart bet. All day long. -
How many fumbles vs. touches does Gaskin have? How many fumbles vs. touches does DWarsh have?TTJ said:The butthurt is strong in this bored. As is the fact-hatred.

DWarsh doesn't know how to properly secure the ball. It's obvious that this is something that can't be coached with him. He sucks with ball security. Bench his ass. -

TTJ would have led the Damascus Wildcats to 0-12.

This is the kind of thinking that says you shouldn't bring your closer in before the ninth inning, or that you shouldn't go for it on fourth down at Oregon's 39 because of field position or something. Pull your fucking head out.TTJ said:The butthurt is strong in this bored. As is the fact-hatred.
