Oregon is happy to be in conversation for playoffs while the other two schools expect to win the damn thing.

Chip Kelly is probably a handful of head coaches that can actually win it but until he wins the actual championship, he, like all other head coaches should be worried about their job security.

Remember, Chip Kelly left Oregon to test his ability in a deeper pool. He doesn't strike me as a guy worried about job security.

Gene Chizik can DIAFF for all I care and yes, he is a shitty head coach but he still has a ring, a ring that he got by pimpin' Cam Newton against Chip Kelly in the natty.

To me, he seems to be the kind of guy that would take Oregon's offer than other high profile jobs.

He's done it in Eugene, so why would he take a job from unknown?

Chip would take Oregon's offer and even take a hometown discount, which has a good possibility of happening. Hell, I can even see UO keeping slingblade 1 more year solely to get kelly the next. Chip is a weird motherfucker. Hes' not the pirate but he's odd. The CEO has been hearing hes' gay. Joking aside, a guy like Chirp can coach in the NFL because he doesn't have to answer to anybody and can put up the middle finger to anyone who questions him. He can't do that at Tejas. He probably could in LA, but he doesn't strike me as an LA guy. He's from fucking New Hampshire. Which has a lot of similarities to Oregon, as far as politics, people, etc. I think he'd take a hometown discount but at the same time, Oregon (Knight) would match pretty much any offer besides Saban's 8mil.
