USC Best Offense; UW Best Defense in PAC12 so far

They actually have UW as the best defense in the country right now. They grade every play of every game.
Will find out a lot this week.

What we can conclude from it is that UW's defense doesn't suck, which given all the talent we lost, is pretty impressive. But playing #Chuckie on one leg probably skewed things in our direction a bit. -
Goff is so good he's the top 2 QB's in their rankings.

Really what this shows us is that USC's problem is Wilcox.

Next year, we have back 6 players who will probably be legit All Pac-10 first team candidates on D... Qualls, Mathis, Victor, Bierria, Jones and Baker. There could be more... and most of those guys are juniors. Yikes. -

Speed is directly related to angles.

See Boobs, I don't think you get the analytics thing yet. Nobody is "thinking" anything. This is not some Doog/Trooj saying "UW and SC are good because..." These are cold, emotionless numbers saying, "of all the plays that have happened this year, these teams are the best when the formulas are applied." Everybody in the country has played dreck to this point. SC's offense and UW's defense happen to have been the most effective against dreck when you run the numbers. I get that the analytics doesn't work when you are playing dreck and the sample sizes are very small.
