I'm a loser and self proclaimed sports historian who watches way too many hours of classic old footage. Whether it be college basketball, football, NFL, etc the common theme I see is that the crowd is completely engaged in the game every second. There are no selfies, phone calls, stat checks, whatever. The only thing they can do is watch the fucking game.
The ADD nation reigns supreme now. Except for rare, heightened moments, the crowd is never fully there. It will never be the same. 4th and goal? Get your phone out and SnapChat what happens so you can show your friends you were there!
