KJ Carta sorta looks like Andy Samberg here.GrundleStiltzkin said:

This is terrific news. Perhaps he is catching on quickly to his new position. -

This could just be for evaluation purposes, but I had a feeling it would happen at some point. I especially like it if it lets Adams redshirt.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:

Eldrenkamp can back up Shelton at LT and Crane or Sosobee can fill in at guard. -

Trey Adams is 100% LT though. I want to RS him, but just don't think they can now. I'm just happy to hear that McGary is already at least getting looks LATE in camp with the 1st team. I thought he wouldn't be in this spot until next fall, quite honestly.

We wouldn't have to start freshman on the OL is Sark actually recruited OL.DeepSeaZ said:We are fucked. Freshmen should never start on the line.
This year, we really only have 3 upperclassmen OL (1 SR and 2 JRs). -
Take anyone associated with those godforsaken white helmets and string them up on a gibbet in Red Square.

Mighty are the chocolate milk drinkers who wear the white and the black

this fucking line might be worst we have ever seen and thats saying alot
-
Or they might be not dogshit because most of them have had at least half their coaching from the new staff. Either way it will be interesting. It wasn't just shitty recruiting, the coaching was shitty too.Penace said:this fucking line might be worst we have ever seen and thats saying alot

That fucking guy put in the worst oline in history.GrundleStiltzkin said: -

A good sign since it sounds like either will be our starting SS this year. -

From the video, it sounds like the OL competition is down to 2 spots now:
LT: RS-Soph Coleman Shelton vs. true frosh Trey Adams (IMHO, Shelton starts but Adams will play and could pass him)
RT: RS-Frosh Matt James vs. RS-Frosh Kaleb McGary (have no idea here)
It's encouraging to hear about the growth in high-ceiling guys like McGary and Adams.GrundleStiltzkin said: -
Keep in mind Eldrenkamp could always play LT.HFNY said:From the video, it sounds like the OL competition is down to 2 spots now:

I think the reason we're seeing it come down to Shelton and Adams is that we have more OTs to play than OGs and Cs. In other words, that Shelton and Adams are ahead of Crane and Sosebee. -
Honestly, if the season is over, I'm willing to roll with a pair of future bookend tackles in Grizzly Adams and Oregon State Bound McGary. Let 'em get feasted on a bit this year. 2017 will be special.

I'm much more worried about QB than the O Line. It sounds like Lindquist still brings absolutely nothing to the table in terms of playmaking ability and potential but Pete's gonna be stuck with him because he's the only one not throwing an INT every other series in practice
-
Disagree. He has proven he can throw bombs with accuracy. He is also capable of running the football, which hopefully will be a big part of our offense.bananasnblondes said:I'm much more worried about QB than the O Line. A QB who brought absolutely nothing to the table in terms of playmaking ability and potential would be Cyler Miles. -
And yet Cyler was easily able to beat Lindquist out for the job despite missing all of spring practice. Lindquist was actually 3rd on the depth chart last year.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

If Lindquist is the starter, we will see an offense that is very similar to last years. Put training wheels on the quarterback and hope somebody else can come up big and win the game for you. -
I think who starts at QB depends on the OL.
If Petersen thinks the OL can keep Browning alive for a season, then Browning will start.
If not, Lindquist will be in there to take a beating.
