Russell done deal

Good deal for both sides. Keep's the big savings on the cap for Wilson for one more year (obviously a portion of the signing bonus will go on this year's cap but they didn't redo the $1.5 million for this season which is huge for the Hawks), makes Wilson very well paid but not overpaid for the next four, keeps him in Seattle, gets camp started on great terms.
Win win. -
Hard to post a link when I rolling past the television etc etc
-
God has spoken!!!!

Anybody that ever questioned whether this deal was ever going to get done was 12FS

Russ's new motto: "Too anointed to be disappointed."

Great. I can go back to not worrying like I was doing before.
Can't wait until he starts thanking God for his new contract to see jecornel get all sandy in the vag. -
Haha, I love when he talks about God.CuntWaffle said:Great. I can go back to not worrying like I was doing before.

Cornel doesn't need Russell's God talk to have a sandy vag.CuntWaffle said:Great. I can go back to not worrying like I was doing before.

Think he can make a goal line slant for that kind of cash?
-
Maybe with Graham running that route instead of Lockette...PurpleJ said:Think he can make a goal line slant for that kind of cash?

The whole thing was posturing with neither side compelled or motivated to act until the deadline approached.TierbsHsotBoobs said:

Wilson was under too much pressure to not get a deal done given the uncertainty of not having guaranteed money going into the last year of his deal.
The Hawks had pressure of getting a deal done, not allowing this to be a distraction all year, and to avoid going through the potential ugliness that the franchise tag can create.
This bored is supposed to be smart enough to understand that shit. -

Wouldn't it be something if Russell tweeted religious stuff and then immediately lurked over here in waiting for Cornell's response?

Why would ASU's coach be running that route?PurpleBaze said:

Russell is back to spewing horseshit to appease the 12FS:
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/08/06/russell-wilson-it-wasnt-important-to-be-highest-paid-player-in-game
“No. The only thing that was important was being in Seattle,” Wilson said. “In terms of being paid, however I played that’s what I wanted to dictate my pay raise. Ultimately, I love this city, I love this team, I love the players on this team and the bond we have.”
Of course, the dipshits fall for it right away. Here are just a few comments posted on the King 5 Facebook (tee hee, it's for girls) page:
"Why can't more athletes be like him?"
"Like him and jj watt"
"Yeah, granted they're beasts at their positions, but they feel like they don't have to be the highest paid players in the game." -
I heard him on the DP Show this morning. Very well spoken

Much like Nigel Burton?RaceBannon said:I heard him on the DP Show this morning. Very well spoken
In all seriousness, fans were all over Russell last week, calling him greedy, etc. Now that the deal is done, they love him again. Kam is the greedy bastard now. -
Maybe it's because I don't live in Seattle anymore, but you 12 stalkers sure care how 12s react.PurpleBaze said:Russell is back to spewing horseshit to appease the 12FS:

I like the Seahawks and feel sorry for the people like SeaHulk who build their identity around being an NFL fan, but I don't care what the online comments have to say.
Yes, successful teams have bandwagon fans.
Yes, 12s that paint their lawn blue, plead to Paul Allen for city ownership, and think nfl athletes care about them personally deserve 0-16.
Just seems like a lot of effort to point out the obvious.
